Costco has the Vizio SB46514-F6 46" 5.1.4 Channel Home Theater Sound System and Wireless Subwoofer with Dolby Atmos for $579.99 until 7/19/20.
Considering returning the 36" 5.1.4 Costco deal for this, but I can't get past all of the reviews saying this unit will randomly turn off. The reviews are so consistent with this issue that is clearly isn't user error.

I'm almost certain the arc is better IF you also get the sub and surrounds. At that point you could have three sets of these. That being said, 580 is also big money for a vizio soundbar.

Why would you want to spend $280 more than the first Costco atmos Vizio unit when the only difference is the width of the 36" model to 46" and a larger subwoofer. The original model u and I did purchase shakes the floors in my 1300 sq. Ft. Home.

Because the 6" subwoofer is boomy and only produces distorted sound, its not a clear low frequency sound, it simulates and creates boomy effect but it irritates me to be honest.
For the price it may be worth but its not real bass
Like many here I've compared the two countless times. My living room is about 500 sqft. And I will say that the 365.1.4 is incredible for the $300. And it almost didnt make sense to upgrade to the 465.1.4 @$600 and now $580. I had just destroyed and recycled my box the day before this deal came out again from costco. But I would definitely upgrade it if Costco will take my return without a box lol. (assuming the features are the same)
1. The 36 is a fantastic setup. Great system all the way around and the ability to individually adjust the settings is great.
2. The 36 could use more sound separation from the bar without just being louder. Hoping the 46 addresses that.
3. Like Ssarava9 said, the woofer is amazing and it vibrates the heck out of the home and I keep my settings very low because of it but it just becomes noisy pumping a loud low frequency through a small unit. The same could be said of the center soundbar.
I have to watch everything with my 36 now. I dont care if it's the cooking channel. It is amazing. The 36 leaves you hanging just wanting something a little more. If your living is smaller than 400sqft then I believe you are just fine with the 36. But if you want your system to blow you away, which may not be practical, go with the 46.

Costco can take the item without the box if you have the receipt (actually just membership card will work )
This is overpriced at $600, other vizio ATMOS model goes for $300 its hard to find $300 worth difference between 36" and 46" model. double the price is not justified and moving around $600+ range you will start finding sound system from other brands also.
Visio is good in its own price range of $200-300 , remember vizio is not a premium brand. They are not the best but when you compare price and features then sometimes vizio has some edge over other brands, which is clearly missing in this case ( $580)
I have an LG B6 OLED and I would connect this soundbar via the HDMI ARC. Will Atmos signal be passed to the bar? I've read somewhere that not all TVs can pass the Atmos signal via HDMI ARC. If I watch Netflix via the built-in app, will Atmos work?
