But heads up clearly an "affiliate offer" as opposed to some great deal that was found. Take the post and votes with some skepticism

might be a good value but this is marketing/advertisement
My old work had a larger Lenovo hub that stayed relatively cool (barely warm unless charging the battery while powering the laptop). That drove dual monitors and multiple USB ports...a true "hub" as it was the only thing I would plug into any port on the notebook.
Now that I'm WFH, new company, and needed a hub, I picked up one from Amazon and this thing is ALWAYS hot. It won't drive my two HDMI monitors plugged into the Thunderbird 3 port (just cycles connecting/disconnecting constantly), so not sure if that is a hub problem. I plug it into the primary USB-C on the laptop, and plug my power brick into the hub, and everything works. However, even when the computer is powered off, this thing runs very hot. My thermal gun measured surface temps at 110 degrees...hot enough to be uncomfortable after a few seconds touching it.

Anker USB C Hub [Upgraded], 5-in-1 USB C Adapter with 4K USB C to HDMI, Ethernet Port, 3 USB 3.0 Por... [amazon.com]
There seems to be sudden influx of these products on Amazon now (which is understood to be due to the remote working situation for most people).

I never heard of the VAVA brand before. But I went ahead and purchased it based on the good customer reviews for all of their similar USB hub products.
So far, so good. Right now, I have the hub connected to one of my Lenovo X1 Carbon's TB3 ports. I'm using the PD function to deliver power to the laptop. I have an HDMI cable connected to an external monitor (Pavilion 32Q). A 128GB USB drive is hooked up as my backup drive. And I have a mouse dongle plugged in to connect my mouse with the laptop. The hub operates transparently, as if everything were connected directly to the laptop. No loss of speed, no loss of signal, and no loss of power delivered, as far as I can tell. What more is there to say?
Best hub under $90 due to build and removable type c. All of these that have the cable soldered on use low quality connectors that wear out quickly.
