So, some questions since you don't have an FAQ that I can find:
Is your coffee roasted to order? If not, how close to shipping is it roasted?
Do you disclose the various ratings/grades/types (which differ by country/region) of the coffees you roast so the consumer knows if you're peddling bottom of the barrel green beans you roasted or something better?
Do you offer fair trade or organic coffee?
What separates you from the multitude of other subscription-based roasters out there?
Do you sell coffee actual serious coffee drinkers would consider purchasing - unflavored, unblended?
Do you offer single-origin coffee?
Why would I consider your product when at worst, I can buy good, freshly roasted single origin beans for $7.09 per 12 oz and at best, $5 per pound from your online competitors?

Since you seem to know a lot about coffee, what are your thoughts on Happy Mug? I've been using them a while and I like their coffee but I don't have much to compare it to as it's really the first online coffee I've purchased. Thanks in advance!

Don't know. Never bought from them. Thing about coffee or most things, if you like it, then it's good enough!
There are differences in roasters' abilities to bring out the best in the bean. I don't buy premium coffee because it's too expensive and I refuse to pay $13-22/lb. I buy good, freshly roasted single origin coffee at bargain basement prices and am happy with that QPR from my source. Is it as good as locally roasted coffee from a small roaster? Of course not. But it's a fraction of the cost and 80-85% as good which works for me.
Well, one of their brands is online but sells under multiple brands and isn't subscription baed. Under one brand, they're $7.99-$9.99 for 2 lb. Under their main brand, up to $8.29 for 12oz (leaving 100% Kona out of the equation).
They are Gerhart Coffee, a roaster in central PA. They sell under the Running Pump brand in Grocery Outlet B&M grocery stores (this is my main source for discounted, good whole bean coffee and wine) in the 2 lb bags. I believe their shipping is $1.99.
I did order some 12 oz bags of whole bean from Gerhart, 3 bags for $24.65 + tax and shipped, or $8.21 after that, $7.55 per 12 oz before taxes/shipping, so my price quote was far off! It's not "cheap" at $10.07/lb.
Running Pump is my main brand, though I haven't seen it in a while in Grocery Outlet. They usually have at least one good, recently roasted light or medium roast single origin option.
