Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) for employees of many companies sucks these days. Used to get Office Professional for $10/year. Then they moved to 365 for $15/year.
Just looked and my latest offer is 30% which equals $70/year for Office 365 Home (same as Personal but 6 user) and $49/year for Office 365 Personal.
BS on HUP and time to consider this deal or just use any of several free alternatives at this point.
I believe there is a way to convert a personal subscription to a family one for a fee.
But "if you use a Microsoft 365 Personal product key to renew, and you currently have a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, you'll be offered a choice to stay with Microsoft 365 Family subscription and receive less than a year of subscription benefits, since Microsoft 365 Family costs more, or you can switch to Microsoft 365 Personal."

I think in the past the personal accounts would convert to a 9 month family account. Just not sure if they still do that.

I just bought this from Costco last month for $60. Can I buy from Woot and stack it on top of my current sub?

It has been confirmed recently on other threads, but I have not yet done it myself
