JUST bought this today on clearance at Walmart for $10 (had a few Melissa and Doug toys & puzzles on clearance). Every word board had the correct picture /spelling and all letters were included. My toddler son had fun with it.

One reviewer says "I didn't even think to look at the reviews because I've always trusted their products. But once I noticed the extra board I read the reviews. Seems there are multiple problems with this puzzle, ie; wrong words for picture, duplicate boards, not enough letters, and letters not fitting."

There was also this gem of a review left.
"Cannot make words "pig" and "hen" without the letter "n"!!!!! Really disappointed in this as my 4 year old and I were doing a phonics lesson with building 3 letter words and we could not finish pig or hen since the product did not include a letter "n"......."

I got this for a 4 year old girl. The product is of good quality. However, after 6 months of use I didn't find it to contribute to any learning objectives.
Being a 'spelling' game, I expected it would enable the child to conceptualize or memorize the spelling. But at least in my case it failed to do so. Since the spelling is already there, what my daughter did was to kinda of match the shape / letter. She knew all alphabets, so she will simply search for the letter and put it in the slot often in wrong order.
If you want to make your kid learn spelling, you gotta prompt their brain to think about and try to remember the spelling. This toy takes that brain workout away. Just my 2 cents.
Ps. The letters are now cake decorations in her tea party happy birthday cake and boards are ping pong paddles
