If you get rejected sometimes there are errors in their automation side or just simply discrepancies. I have always called the reconsideration lines for credit agencies and sometimes even gotten approved over the phone.
At the least it will tell you why you got denied and it will be a learning experience. In this specific case: Always call

You can product change, but you don't get a signup bonus that way.
Other than having something better to do with a 5/24 slot there's no downside to having both cards.

I have had a different experience with chase. I have the Reserve card, 3 freedom cards, Ink business preferred and ink business cash card.
I am retired and my consulting business generates little income. Chase seems to throw their cards and offers at me right and left. I will keep taking them up on point generating offers as long as I can. I guess my 820+ credit score is finally paying off.
