I remember last couple years it was the Harmon Kardon deals being pushed and now it seems like Klipch won the contract. I asked iconian if these are paid deals but he claimed they aren't. He must be the greatest deal finder of all time.
Yes and many many people have gotten great "deals" thru his post.
There are only few yahoos that try to paint that as a bad "deal".
Most people understand that has pretty much nothing to do with whether it's a "deal"or not.
Harmon still comes up almost as often yet those yahoos don't say anything about that 🤔
Question for those audio nerds out there, I have some satellite style speakers from JBL setup in a 5:1 it was their nicer series from way back (maybe 10 years ago)... I upgraded the receiver last year to a TSR-7850R wanted to maybe upgrade the speakers this year, does that receiver match up with these speakers or just not enough power to push them or not support some audio protocol?
For reference room is about 12x15ish, flat ceiling and actually in an ICF house so the walls /ceiling completely dampen any sound to the outside. 70'' tv we sit about 10ft back from. I ran cables to the back of the room when we built it down from the ceiling for the rears that are mounted there but I do not have any ran to the sides.
Was looking at the comments and would likely go with bundle 2 it sounds like and wait for a deal on a good sub to match (around BF hopefully) and just use the JBL until then..
I love the way a good system sounds, actually worked at best buy in the home theatre dept way back in college. I however did not keep up at all with anything after leaving that job and am clueless to what's a good setup on about a $1000 budget for the speakers.

Well that's a very broad question but the one thing that hasn't changed from back then is listening to speakers is the best way to find what sounds good to you.
Unlike everything else speakers do not need to be "upgraded" unless you choose.
So I would ask what is wrong with the JBL speakers you have now?
If nothing, all you need is two more speakers to use all the channels on your new receiver.
So bundle 2 has two object based modules built in to the top of the fronts which makes it a 7.1. Those modules are designed to bounce the sound off the ceiling which should be between 8-12 ft and flat.
They are a considered an alternative to overhead speakers so how well they perform will vary from person to person.
If you haven't listened to Klipsch you might want to because they have an acquired sound to them.
Klipsch is a pretty efficient speaker so that receiver would not have much trouble running those speakers.
Yeah running side speakers won't happen with an icf ceiling and walls it's a full day's work doing it after the fact. I guess that's part of the appeal of this setup.
My only Klipsch experience was the computer speakers they were pretty awesome though.
If that's a deal, check out the Kilpsch T5 true wireless earbuds on Amazon. I just grabbed a pair. It's now at $69.95 down from $89.95. Originally priced at $199.00.
Everything is twice the price on Klipsches website. Are these factory 2nds, bleminishs, defects? Or are they legit?
Klipsch' reference line are one of those things that are always on sale, and if they don't appear to be on sale, wait 2 days and they will be. I bought one of these sets for the same price about a year ago and I bet I've seen the same deal come and go six times since then.
Not that there is anything wrong with the klipsch sets, mind. But speakers from large manufacturers go on sale very frequently, so it's very disingenuous to suggest that a markdown from the MSRP typically listed on the klipsch site is a great sale alone.
Bear in mind that the Klipsch reference line of nowadays is now their low end line, whereas what used to be called reference has now been recast as the Reference Premiere line. I upgraded this set to the RP line and it does make a substantial difference, but if you're using a theater in a box or have a smaller room to begin with, the reference line will still be amazing... and the cost of the entire setup will be around what the reference premiere center channel or a single tower alone would cost.

Sure sounds like there is a shady agenda there 🤔

I was thinking of buying another pair at this price and giving it to my oldest son.
