Great chair and worth every penny.
Pricy? Yes! But how many "executive" chairs my coworkers went through while I still have my Aeron, that is still like new after so many years of use?
Positive tilt keeps you straight up when typing while keeping excellent back support, lot of adjustments.
Meshed seating helps to keep you cool.
Too expensive? Look at the second-hand market, tons and tons for sale, nearly indestructible and if it happened, you can find all the spare parts to get it back to new.

For anyone who is waffling, I love mine. This is a great deal. I paid $780 for my fully loaded Aeron in 2014. Had it delivered to work and it arrived after I was laid off, as the company went out of business. Which is to say, I wouldn't worry about the economy on a chair and price like this. You'll definitely get use out of it. I've used it for >60 h/week for 6 years and it's like the day I got it. Super comfortable too. I had a lot of back problems due to poor posture prior to using this chair, but now when my back flares up, it's due to poor couch posture
My only negatives are the arms and that they don't make it with a stool base, so it teeters precariously on my treadmill when I'm taking a sit break. I thought of getting a narrower, perching chair, but will likely buy a wider treadmill instead (or a huge desk), I love it that much. The arms are better than any Staples chair, but aren't as good as Steelcase chairs in terms of adjustability. I like to move the arms throughout the day depending on how I'm typing, and while I move between systems, and I often have my arms tucked in like a chicken on the Aeron.
