So I bought a set of the deco m9's from Costco last month (@$199) but haven't set them up (or opened the box). Any advantage to getting the x60's instead? The m9's are triband while the x60's are dual (I think that means no dedicated wireless backhaul on the x60s?).

I'm in a townhome complex, so I get a lot of competing wifi networks. Main tv is wired via Ethernet, but I want to watch video via wifi in other rooms, and of course video conferencing. Plan is to use a MoCa connection to do backhaul to both ends of the main floor, then have the third deco doing wireless backhaul upstairs since there is no cable outlet.

FYI, these deco m9's are still in stock at $199:

The X60 has a maximum backhaul of 3000Mbps vs the M9's 1500Mbps. Dual band on the X60 is a 2.4Ghz band and 5Ghz, the M9's have one 2.4Ghz and two 5Ghz bands.

For what it's worth. I have two sets of the m9s. One at main house 3500 sq ft, and a new townhome, 2000sq ft. Only really need two but I use three on the townhome because of a slow spot toward the front. Both sets since I have them with smart connections switches and outlet plugs, and dimmers, Xbox, tv etc, and they have yet to hiccup since I installed them. TPlink makes great stuff and I use their Kasa components. I am impressed with the simplistic design and software app. I also use the Nest speakers with google assistant to manage. It's how making a smart home should be hands down. Not sure if anyone needs 3gb of bandwidth or even notice the difference of 1.5? Speed is really determined by what the service/host allows, not the hardware. Solid choices all around.

This has better performance compared to the nest wifi, so unless you need the additional range coverage for best throughput and speeds the X60 is the better buy from that perspective.

710Mbps compared to 650 Mbps right next to the units and can hold about 450Mbps at almost 40 feet on a 2x2 client while it can hold over 600Mbps on a 3x3 client.

That all being said it is still one of the slowest, but still one of the most inexpensive wifi 6 mesh systems.

Only if you want slower speeds and less coverage? Ubiquiti AP's for the most part are not performance oriented.

UniFi gives better control - if you are average home user don't go in UniFi. You want granular control and want to be part of whole echo system of UniFi then go for it. Also if you can wait / or buy non ge WiFi 6 UniFi devices get those.
