Looking to finally move to mesh after dealing with separate routers/repeaters for years. Was pretty excited about this but, after checking a few reviews, seems like not the best transfer speeds. Here's a great review on youtube.

I have no problem with range on my current router so the mesh is useless to me. Can these be used as three separate routers in three different houses?

Yes they can! I have the M5 and after messing with mine over and over again despite being a higher tech person I love the ability to be able to check and reset my system remotely. I can say these work and self heal if the internet does drop out. Great setup! After two years I will never go back to a router I have to configure, despite me missing a couple options. I value plain work over tinker continually!

This has only dual band, so no 3rd channel for backhaul connection if you plan to not have ethernet backhaul between units, it might be slow. Of course AX is future proving your wifi once you start getting device that have AX wifi, it will benefit. I bought Deco m9 plus and so far been pretty good.

Speeds of over 700 megs and 600 on clients 3x3 40 feet away from a puck is pretty excellent. You have to take into account this is a 3 pack thats one of the least expensive wifi 6 out there currently. If you hardwire ethernet them you get the full bandwidth. Overall while its not the best system out there, it still smokes just about any wifi 5 system out there even with wireless backhaul.

I am still waiting for Wifi 6 E myself which should start seeing products early next year.

I paid $180 for a 2 pack of refurbished Triband RBK50 Orbis and I thought that was a steal, these will out pace the orbis pretty decently.

The M9 is a tri-band router. The X60 is a dual band.

If you are using a wifi backhaul, get the M90.

If you are using a wired Ethernet backhaul, get the X60.

Only if a true nerd go with Ubiquiti. My WAPs run 4 wireless networks. I can separate my IoT and Guest network via VLANs. The speed is constant half a gigabit between 2 nanoHDs. One lives in my garage with the XPenology NAS. I tried many non wifi 6 mesh networks. Deco M9 was very decent and I'm sure these are even faster. However, there was nothing close to the flexibility of Unifi. The turn off on the Deco was that wired backhaul was some hacky config that they sent over to me and it kinda bugged me. Mesh network but not simple wired backhaul. Maybe this set changes that piece...

Pretty sure they take just about anything back unopened with a receipt.

Yes, just like google you now need to create an TP-Link ID to setup the APP and tie the system to your account.

Absolutely. No problem. All Costco electronics have at least a 60 day return window.

So you have a wired backhaul and you bought the M9? Yeah, you probably want the X60 instead.

Unless you bought the M9 when it was $99. Then sell it to me rather than return it :-)
