If you can hold out for a little longer I would. WIFI 6e is around the corner. Ugh, yes the name sucks to make things even more complicated just when the naming scheme was going in the right direction, someone has to come back and mess it up again. The benefit of it is the addition of 6ghz frequency and the opening up of the spectrum, meaning faster connections but at the cost of distance.
I'm waiting for WIFI 6 and I guess I'll have to wait for WIFI 6e now and when that arrives I'll wait for WIFI 7
I have the AX1500 and it has been solid as a rock, no need for reboots weekly

How is this? I'm looking for a solid router for a medium home (2 floors, 2500 sqft) to stay relevant for maybe 5 years.

How is this one compared to Archer C4000 for $129 at Costco? I just bought one from Costco online 15 mins ago.

Looking for a good router with built in parental controls as well as Device level controls with easy to use web interface. Does this fit the bill?

I've been using it for almost a month now and has been great so far. However, the box says it's compatible with Alexa, but it is not. The router app says only the ax3000 is compatible

I'm trying to wait it out but with corona I feel like it's going to be pushed even further

My asus rt 68u failed. Had to reboot occasionally. Picked the ax3000 version and been doing well for the last 3-4months.

The Archer will have better coverage Tri-Band Wi-Fi (1625+1625+750 Mbps) But is older technology of AC (wifi version 5) ; AX is the latest wifi version 6 ; in 2021 to be replaced by wifi-6e ... TP link is only Dual Band ... so pick ur poison - I prefer the Archer as Triband and are u really moving 1.5 Gbits/sec of data .. ur modem speeds are normally 1/5 - mine is 200 Mbit (1/7 or 7x less than 1.5 Gbit)
I am holding out for AX-6E and a must TriBand - the single 5ghz for my 40 devices is way to many ...

Wow, I just picked this up at my local walmart half an hour ago.
Its rocking solid, I'm paying for 300mbps from xfinity, and right next to this thing I'm getting ~350mbps. Upstairs through about 3 walls 5g does drop down to 70mbps though.
