Features 7.1 surround sound and an omni-directional mic that focuses on your voice and minimizes background noise. Compatibile with PC Desktops, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 or Mac.
I mean.. for $10, I pick these up and throw em in the closet for a rainy day. Good to have a backup, or could even work as a gift in a pinch. Thumbs up!
PS: Anyone recommending $100 headphones in a thread about a $10 (shipped) headset.. come on. Like... CLEARLY there's better options out there, this one is $10.
You must not have kids. $10 headphones are a much better purchase for a child.
Seems like it's a new item in general. The listing for it on Amazon was only posted in mid to late June... and no reviews there either. Might be able to find a similar item on Aliexpress honestly. If they're not going to raise prices after getting reviews, then maybe they're just clearing stock... who knows... but I wouldn't expect much either way.
I tried a search again, and it looks like this brand(?) also sells home phone batteries and other electronic stuff thru Target... so maybe they're not completely a no-name.
Edit: someone beat me to it finding it on Aliexpress. Took a while writing the original comment. What they found is definitely this same product. This is what one review says:
I guess if you "need" a basic wired headset, it's hard to beat the price... and many other headsets on sale on SD lately are bluetooth only - which is not recommended for gaming. If there ends up being a problem, or you don't like the headset, you're more or less stuck with it though - since return shipping is at the buyer's expense.

Any idea how this gaming headset is? Seems pretty decent but no reviews yet.

Good quality and materials. I was expecting better sound balance. Bass are ok, not too strong, very good in rock, metal. Middle very well. High are much worse then I expected and you must get used to it, its far from crystal clear.Comparing with middle price range Koss (100usd) Iam using them in work so its good enough. Can wear it all the day.. If you want something for high quality music listening you should look elsewhere (in different price range)

What? 7.1 surround for $10... It sounds like you ought to have a really good sense of imagination and creativity!
The 7.1 - like on most "7.1" headsets that aren't hundreds dollars - is virtual, done in the software. Basically, the software simulates surround sound by positioning sounds in a virtual soundscape using the two speakers. So, if the enemy in a game is supposed to be diagonally to the right in front of you, you'll hear more of its sounds in the right ear's speaker. The effect can vary anywhere from pretty good to awful. This is pretty standard for all but the most expensive gaming headsets.
