I think a lot of home DIY mechanics vastly overestimate the amount of torque they need. There's almost nothing I can't break freewith my mid torque. If you need the high torque, you need the high torque, but there is a fairly significant difference in size and weight between the mid and high torque models. If I had endless money I would buy both, but the mid torque does have a significant advantage if you're doing a lot of work with limited space/awkward angles.

I have the mid torque and it's good so far. My friend has this one but hates how big bulky it is. The plus side is that this one comes in a one key variant to set torque spec.

I bought this about a year ago for use around the farm and haven't been disappointed. My brush hog blades have to be torqued to 700 lb ft, so this makes it super easy to get them off. I have yet to find anything around the house/farm that it can't take off. I bought it as part of a combo with the grease gun, but this does seem like a pretty decent deal. I might be inclined to pay a bit more for the 6AH battery though.

Acme has the same deal. I dont have a home depot in town. They also have the mid torque 2861-22 kit 20% off with $25 Milwaukee accessory purchase. I cant decide what one to get. My main use would be automotive applications lug nuts, axle nuts, suspension bolts etc. Anyone have either that can offer some input would be greatly appreciated!

I have the lineman version mainly for impact drilling pilings which is what i mainly use it for (big lags, long bolts tieing pilings and lumber). Drives long lags and pops salt rusted bolts off like nothing is there, it's awesome. anyways I got an impact 7/16 -> 1/2 socket impact adapter i use for sockets. high torque is really heavy but it popped the family beater 11 year old honda van crank bolt off the other day in 2 seconds, and rusted frame bolts for the motor mounts same. Mid torque would probably work is my guess assuming clean, rust..may not be enough but i dunno.

They're straight up beasts torque impact wise...but heavy and you're not getting into tight spaces that's for sure.

Mid torque will be the better tool for 95%+ of automotive applications. It's far lighter, smaller, and generally has enough torque for most anything. Where the high torque will shine is on the very tightest of nuts or more likely, cases where you need to use adapters/extensions, which rob you of quite a bit of power.

High torque is out but high torque with one key is on my list. Like Christian said you can set the torque range from the app I didnt know that. I watched the video and looks like the app showed 80-130 ft/lbs. Thats kind of a big range but then again its not a torque wrench. It'll get you close with out breaking bolts then set torque with a torque wrench if need be. I hate myself for being so indecisive.

not only that there is a difference between the 6,0 and 5.0 battery. they claimed 6.0 is high output and the 5.0 has been out for a long time.
