Love all the pictures with it placed in the center of a room, able to freely move around.
I used models similar to this when I lived in England. They are basically heat exchangers and have an exhaust hose out the back that vents the hot air outside....through a window or installed vent.
Could be somewhat mis-leading if you have never used one.

I have the 12k btu Ukoke and it does it's job and the wifi app it quite convienent. I like how it also has heating. Would have liked to get a 2 hose unit but there's nothing close at the price I paid.
I've had to contact support via email once for their app and they were reaponsive.
Any single-hose unit is a big waste of money. They remove hot air from the room, which gets replaced with hot air from outside the room. Hold out for a 2-hose.

When was the last time a 2-hose unit popped up here, and what was the price? They seem to be about as rare as hen's teeth, and are never cheap. In every portable AC thread, multiple people ask if it's single or dual, multiple people say the one in question works for them, and multiple people say single-hose units are a waste.
Single-hose units work and are certainly better than nothing if you can't use a window unit for whatever reason. And you can add a second hose to minimize the shortcomings of the original design, if you're handy.

Agree with your statement on 2 vs 1 hose. some people have more time than money. Me myself I am just waiting for a great deal on a double hosed unit. Don't want the hassle of condensation to have to empty a container or spill on the floor, and want the extra efficiency.

Me too, but good luck. Lowe's cancelled my order last time it was that price
But are they in different areas codes? That's what's important here
