Probably because the nonsense that this matters has been debunked exhaustively in the last 9,783 LG TV threads.
The actual warranty doesn't care if the dealer is "authorized" or not- you can tell by reading it.
One other thing that hasn't been mentioned that makes the LG CX an improvement over the LG C9 is that the CX has 120hz BFI vs the C9 which only has 60hz BFI. That is most beneficial for those that watch sports. And for those that point out that the C9 has the full bandwidth of 48Gbps vs the 40Gbps on the CX, the C9 will never use the full 48Gbps because it's only a 10 bit panel, as is the CX's panel. It will only ever use a max of 40Gbps. LG has claimed that going down to the 40Gbps allowed them to put more emphasis towards processing power. That part can be up for debate.

Ultimately I hope a price war starts and the prices fall. Philips is supposed to launch oled here as well.
If there is any way to wait until Black Friday (closer than we think)...that could be ideal.

It's very weird they would tell you, who bought from an authorized dealer, that "Hey if you had bought from some rando third party you'd get nothing"
Like- why would they even bring that up since it doesn't even apply to your case?
In any event, ANY goodwill gesture outside the warranty period is just that- goodwill. There's no legal obligation no matter what from LG.
But the actual warranty doesn't care who you bought from so long as it was a US model purchased and used in the US.

So in the end, 1- year warranty should be applied no matter where you buy the TV from. Outside of the 1-year warranty, don't expect to get any type of help from LG unless you purchased from an authorized dealer.
I bought a 65 oled from a different discount dealer 4 years ago...im pretty sure it was abctv or the like (they were based in NJ and probably changed their name). mine arrived with a dead pixel. LG honored the warranty and made a replacement.
fast forward 4 years (now) and I have burn in on the screen. Neither LG nor Mack (extended) will do anything.
Lessons learned: LG should cover the warranty no matter where purchased, don't purchase extended warranties...they are useless, and anytime not playing ps4...either turn the TV off or switch it to on air programming.
one more thing..if you get white glove delivery...be prepared ...the guys are in a hurry. plus all they do is turn it on...and show you the LG splash screen. you pretty much need a white screen to immediately see a dead pixel. otherwise you need to watch HD content for like 5 minutes to find it...but i doubt the delivery guys would wait.
