This is one of the best games in my collection, and my collection is large. I'm not sure this is a slick deal necessarily, but it's been out of print for a while so grab it quick. Highly recommend!

SU&SD are entertaining but they have odd tastes that do not line up with most people. Even then, they said it was a fun game but the end game scoring was too convoluted.

Personally, I trust crowd sourced reviews/rankings more than reviews from individuals who likely have different tastes than myself.

Wingspan dominated the BGG awards (voted on by users of the site) in 2019.

It also presently the number 1 family game and number 20 game overall (out of 10s of thousands of board games).

So MOST people think it is a pretty good game. Those that don't like it are in the minority.

Not every game appeals to every person. But this game is loved by many people and is in the top 20 games and ranked #1. You may not like the game but that does not mean that there is no basis for others liking the game.

Also, efore using terms like "cult" to describe those who like something you don't. Watch Rodney's video on terms like "hype". Using such terms is elitist implies your opinion is more valuable than the opinions of others and peoples opinions are only validated if you agree with them.

If you want, there are upgraded meeples on Kickstarter for more than the game right now. Crazy how much people love this game. Might pick this up since it would easily sell if the game isn't for me. Hmmm. . .

We are bird lovers but even if we were not, this game is fantastic. So much more strategy than anything else I played but it's not so hard that my 8-year old cannot play with us...granted, she is a bird nerd.

Great game. Have been playing with my partner a ton during the quarantine. 3 to 4 players may be better but works great with 2. Once you know the rules, a good weight game you can actually finish in 60-90 minutes. Love the European birds expansion as well. The included swift start pack includes a few extra birds as well as playsheets indicating the first few recommended moves to get you playing quick.

Edit: the game is also available as dlc for table top simulator, works great in that environment.

Pretty close to historic low on amazon according to CCC. I'd normally like to buy from my local game shop and support local but hard to pass up this deal for a game that's been on my wanted list.
