Eldritch Horror is a cooperative HP Lovecraft-themed boardgame from Fantasy Flight Games, a streamlined version of Arkham Horror. 7.8 on BGG (#70 ranking overall) with a 3.32 complexity. Only a few cents away from the all-time CCC low. Additionally one of the expansions Signs of Carcosa is on sale, at an all time CCC low.

Just make sure that you don't take turns reading each others encounters and don't play with more than 4 people. If not, it will be worse than going to the DMV without an appointment or waiting for a table for 8 at Glendale Ca, Ding Tai Fung.

That said, it's complex and isn't for casual gamers. Typical games take 3-4 hours to play.
For those who don't know how this game plays, think of it like a co-op dungeons and dragons with pre-made characters set in the late 1920's with HP Lovecraftian monsters invading the world. Very high replayability. For your first game, I highly recommend one player be the politician to make things a little easier.
