Think I saw a deal the other day that included a free dot. This includes a free Dot AND Show 5.

QA Edit: The Echo Dot is no longer included, so now it's the eero wi-fi system and the free Echo Show 5 instead

If this was the eero Pro 3 pack (3 full Pro's) plus a free Dot and Echo Show 5 for $299 I'd be ALL OVER IT.

People need to think ahead to all the IOT you're going to be adding in the next few years and realize you need a system that not only has range and performance but the ability to handle at least 50-100 devices, if not more, (those smart bulbs & plugs really add up as well as all the devices, streamers, TV's, speakers, hubs, doorbells, and on and on) with no dropouts or disconnects.

Also, for those promoting the TP-Link Deco Tri-Band M9 be careful.

I went to buy it and then I read the fine print in the specs about the limitations of the 3rd band. I ended up buying the Deco X60 which is "only" dual band but has much better specs & performance in direct comparison.

I bought the Deco X60 for an IT client and I'm still on the fence about whether or not I should have them spend the extra $$$ for the Orbi or Ubiquiti instead.

For myself, I keep reading reports and receiving professional recommendations that the eero Pro (2 - 3 full Pro units) is the best way to go for my needs (1.5 TB per month home data usage, heavy 4K streaming, over 60 devices & IOT) but I'm still wavering about giving Amazon that much of a foothold into my life.

Honestly, if Apple came out with a Professional Home Mesh Router System capable of handling 250 devices or more I'd be down with it. Apple is the ONLY tech company who really does stand behind their products and despite being overpriced at least you're never throwing money away. Value is retained and Apple Support is willing to help with just about anything.

LoL ... sorry guys. I didn't intend to make a speech.
Went FP at $169 when it was just the free dot.

Another $30 and add in an Echo Show 5?

Smokin' if you have a use for the Show.
LOL pretty unproductive comment!

Smoking deal, thanks OP.

Great price and devices. Only problem I have is a lack of network management features that come standard with any other router I had bought (I.e. Mac filtering). Even the paid tier does not bring those standard services back.
