Are people still super worried about touching the virus particles with their hands? In the past month or so, I've only seen one or two people wearing gloves whilst out in the wild
I know right. Haven't seen gloves in the wild in a long time now.
All I want is the sanitary wipes to be available, those are the real gold. Great for wiping down counters and tables.

I always wear the gloves when I do shopping. It will be more safe

When I know there's no way to wash my hands I wear them. I don't really like Hand sanitizer and all the chemicals that's in it.

I've always used them weekly for food purposes and picking up shitty animal bedding (literally). Didn't enjoy doing either bare handed

No keep paint off hands and then cover brush when going on break.
As long as the glove is non-porous, why would the material make a difference when protecting from viruses?
Because gloves aren't impermeable. Even the thinner nitrile ones aren't. Police use thicker ones because ketamine can get through the regular ones and it takes a very small exposure to kill someone. Think of it like balloons. Regular ones deflate much quicker than Mylar even though they both appear to be impermeable.
