This 2060 if you are streaming for sure; the built-in encoder adds lots of value if that applies to you.
AMD generally offers more value per $ depending on the games you play.
Both are good cards though many would recommend waiting for the 3080/3090 in September, the 3070 in October, or the 3060 in November... Then there's what AMD may release....but if you don't want to wait, I totally get it. Those cards will be hundreds $s more than this.
IMO if you have to have a card now, it's a good price. But supposedly NVIDIA's new stuff will be announced in early September, and start shipping Q4 this year. I'd wait because the new stuff should be ~25% faster and a 2060 will fall like a rock in value.
AMD's stuff should be announced in November or so, so waiting at this point is prudent.
Imagine thinking RAM is what determines the strength of a GPU in the year of our lord 2020
I can tell you're one of those fake know it all's that really don't know anything with that statement. I have a 6gb EVGA vram card and know it's strengths and weaknesses.
I was going to wait for a 3000 series but they are probably going to sell out in a minute and cost 3x as much. Releases will be staggered from most expensive to least. I believe a 3060 will come out next year. These crazy times we live, who knows if we'll be alive.
Speculation*
September = 3080 and 3080ti (probably 1k+ )
AND 3000 series would force you to drop more $$ for a new PSU that supports them
How much better is this card than my Gigabyte 1660 super triple fan gpu? Pairing with a Intel core i5 3570k and 16 gb ddr3 ram. I bought that gpu last month so I am definitely out of the return period.
Damn, I'm actually buying this.. Expected delivery Aug 24th tho..
Did the same. I was kind of interested in the super but it looks like the best deals on that have been around $350. I'm ok with staying under $300 for a video card.

This card isn't bad just looking for more cause I want an insane experience and some sense that my GPU will be relevant for the future.
You know some people want to game in 1440p ultra settings right?
