It's more effort but Dosh ($20) + UPS Sign up ($30 gift card) is potentially a better deal unless you were already planning on shopping online for Costco.

Most everything on the website is marked up compared to in store and it'll probably kill the $40 coupon savings.

Is there any benefit to Costco if it's just two adults in a house and the only local location is over 20 minutes away? BJs is about ten minutes from here but we passed on them because there was practically nothing there that made a membership worth it. No big ticket purchases coming up, so won't be looking at anything pricey like beds or tires that people like Costco for.

Completed the process, auto renew says it will be renewed on 5/31/2021? So I'm only getting 9 months of membership?

Looking for advice:
I am about to buy a laptop and love the return policies and warranties afforded by Costco.
I used to shop at Costco but haven't been in one for a couple years, so membership obviously isn't a priority.
Is it worth jumping through all these hoops to buy a laptop from Costco?
-I THINK that to keep a warranty valid for a computer purchase, I will need to keep the membership valid. This adds up over a few years.
-I wouldn't use the membership much for other stuff.
-I understand that I wouldn't be able to use the credits here for the laptop purchase itself as it'll take 6 weeks to get the bonus.

Thoughts?

There are legitimate concerns and medical issues regarding the use of masks. But let's put everyone into the same box and require strict adherence no matter the case, right?
Uh huh.....tell it to the dead people.

Do you know if wife counts as new member if she is secondary on current membership?
If someone is secondary, I don't believe they can count as a new member since Costco would already have her information on file.

Warranty is valid on same Costco membership only.
Are you able to switch membership between you and your spouse each year with same home address?
I've heard anecdotes of former Costco members (non-active) trying to claim a warranty related issue and the Costco manager making them sign up for a new membership.

Wife and I have done the swapping of memberships for 2 years now with these Groupon deals, but we only have one name on the membership. Every time the service desk tries to add one of use as the secondary member, I tell them don't bother since we would really only go to the store together.

Just wondering, gold memberships are normally $60 aren't they? So the big deal about this is the coupons or am I missing something?

Only food court, pharmacy and alcoholic beverage store (outside of the store) not require membership. Gas ALWAYS prompts you to swipe your membership card first.
Not in New Jersey. Gas purchase does NOT require membership....
