Does anyone know if you can buy a $250 Gift Card to get the $40 off on that? I think that could make this slick.
Hi, the one-time use coupon code may only be used for a purchase made online at Costco.com of $250 or more before tax. Ineligible purchases include: new Costco memberships, Costco membership renewals, gift of membership, online gift certificates, Costco Shop Cards, custom installation services and online digital print orders. Not valid for orders at the online pharmacy, Costco Travel, or Costco Business Delivery including CostcoGrocery.

Where does it show the $40 bonus card and $40 off $250 coupon? I just bought the Groupon, went to the link and signed up. I even entered the Visa card to auto renew but there was nothing stating I will receive the bonus $40 card? No email either.
Hi, as long as you have completed the redemption process successfully, your incentives will be mailed to the address provided when the sign up on Costco.com was processed to start your membership. This will take 4 to 6 weeks.

Nah. Try Sam's Scan and Go and you'll wonder why you're waiting in line at Costco.
I've used that and I'd never let that make a decision for me, it saves a few minutes compared to Costco for me. Costco and Sam's each have their positives and negatives. I'm actually a member at both currently.

I don't understand all the love for COSTCO. $5 pumpkin pie is nice, I guess. The people that shop there certainly do love the place. I just don't get it.
You don't get saving money? I easily save a ton more money than I spend on membership. I can buy two gallons of milk there vs one elsewhere, the $5 pie you mention is three for other stores, many items I purchase are 30-50% cheaper at Costco than what I'd purchase at another store. Meat at Costco is far superior than anywhere but a butcher imho.

I also shop at Sam's for the same reason. I only pay for Sam's, I'm on my sons account since he works at Costco.

For a family of 2, Costco might not be a big help or cost-saving. But with 2-3 kids, of course, you can save a lot. It depends from one case to another. Some people dont like to pile up things and some people buy 5 boxes of toilet paper for 1 year. You really don't know why humans are so strange!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can I use PayPal to pay for the groupon and still receive the promotion as long as I sign up with my Visa on the Costco page? I just don't want to screw this up.

Hi, you can use your preferred method of payment to buy on Groupon, however only Visa cards are accepted on the Costco redemption process.

In discover card, you can redeem reward points in buying Groupon $60 giftcard is for $54.
This doesn't work, I tried it yesterday and the groupon website says the gift card cannot be used for the items in your cart, had to call discover to cancel this.

I think everyone has different use cases. For you, there may not be good use cases, but for others, there's a lot to like, and if a Costco is conveniently nearby, it can be really good value. I love the toilet paper, gas, and Kirkland brand. I actually just bought a gaming laptop from them, and that was in part because they have a ridiculously generous return policy and extended warranty of 2 years. They also offer great prices on some products if you're willing to buy in bulk - but at the same time, you do have to watch because some prices are just meh.

Still not worth it. Not even close. No lines at Costco self checkout, takes 2 min to scan everything all at once. I realized sams was not the place for me when I used to buy veggies and they'd start turning to mush within 3 days whereas Costco veggies still crisp after 2 weeks. Everything is better at Costco in terms of quality.
