Kind of sad I can't pick this up, anyone have recommendations for someone 6'4?
Try Sunny $$600 or Schwin IC4 $800. They also have heavier flywheel 44lbs. Ic4 comes with everything you need, Sunny you can add cadence, SPD shoe clip on and a heart sensory or use your Apple Watch.

Connect via Bluetooth.
Will this bike show cadence on the peloton app when connected? Eliminating the need to have the echelon app open for cadence?

Peloton app comes with free 30-day trial. You have to enter your credit card but you can cancel before 30-day

I think it was spot on, perceived quality and sales went up when they doubled the price. You think AF1 shoes would be a hit if sold near an estimated $6-8/pair to make them?

I am not knocking the Peloton at all, just a general statement about consumer habits. Never underestimate marketing departments. There is a LOT of science and study behind it. Look at that guy in my signature.. That was 100 years ago.
Fair, but your statement seems to imply it's a $1k bike, and they sell more now after making it exclusive by raising prices. The bike allegedly costs $2k to manufacture so the statement about cost to quality doesn't apply

One weird thing is that if you buy a Peleton the app is $39.99/month. But if you use another bike is only $12.99/month. With slightly less features of tracking your output on the leaderboards. So a Peleton in addition to 5x cost, costs an additional $300+/year

FYI The description is wrong. It's stated at 500 lbs weight limit. It is supposed to be 300 lbs. Larger folks consider alternatives.

How hard is it to change resistance in the middle of riding?

Use a credit card with an extended warranty. You'll get another year for free.
if you pay with PayPal you'll get 5 percent off if you have a discover card.
The citi prestige is still giving 5x on online purchases if you didn't meet your quota. You'll also get 2 years of extra warranty

I've never used a spin bike. Is this comfortable to use just as a cycling bike, where I'm sitting rather than standing? I'm an out of shape senior, and Ii would slowly transition to standing. Would this be a good bike for getting into exercise after not having done any for a while? I'm also looking at cost.
try and find a sports store that has these so you can try one out. i cant stand indoor cycling. its boring as hell, even with the TV and the seat hurts, no matter how i adjust it. the only reason i have one is when it's too cold to bike outside.

You can change the saddle. Maybe cycling shorts with padding?

How does this compare with the ProForm Tour De France with iFit from Costco for 499?
