Was hunting for a larger gaming monitor with high refresh rate and low input lag. I compared the specs between several other reputable brands and this one seems pretty good with the HDR400 and 400 cd/m² brightness 1440p resolution and 165hz on Display-Port. Yes this is a VA panel and I've heard good things about VA as being the compromise between color/viewing angles and speed (IPS vs. TN). The curvature is 1500R which is closest to human vision that is out right now which can give better immersion then the 1800R. The Dell that everyone recommends with similar specs is between $400-$450 right now. The MSRP on Acer's website is $449.99 so at $359.99 I decided to make the purchase.

Alternatively Costco has the same deal going right now on the same monitor:

Here is the manufacturer's website:

Review's are hard to find, but the one's on the Microcenter website seem to indicate it's a good monitor, I will post my impressions, the monitor arrives Thursday the 20th.

So no one in this thread has personal experience? I will report back after testing.
***UPDATE: Unboxed monitor after work tonight (8/20), was pretty much expecting to take it out, test it and then return it for the Dell. Nope! I tried all of the UFO ghosting tests and I am happy to report - no ghosting on mine. I ordered mine from Costco and the monitor I received is absolutely perfect. I played COD Modern Warfare on this for about three hours tonight with friends. I'm happy to report my game is so much better with this monitor versus the TCL 42" 4k 60Hz I have been using for the past 3 years. I am hooked on the immersion that the 1500R curve gives, took me no time at all getting used to it. The HDR 400 brightness? It's pretty bright in fact I had to turn it down to nearly 50% as it was very bright.
For reference here is my PC setup, maybe no ghosting since I'm running a 5700XT? AMD FreeSync was auto detected and refresh set to 165 Hz automatically.
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
AMD RX 5700-XT
Adata XPG SX8200 NVMe PCIe M.2 480GB
Intel 545s Series 512GB
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB

Also, the lag on this TV is a low as a top gaming monitor. I have the Acer Predator X34p and the lag is the same.
But gaming is phenomenal. you see all the finer details as well as the enemy who is hiding, is way easier to spot on a 43" 4k IPS TV.
I have the 43" predator gaming monitor coming in. Will compare the two. Yet the 43" predator is $1000 and the 43" LG IPS tv is $300.
This TV auto selects to PC mode when it detects I am using my computer. You need this for the low lag and crisper image.
Also, it is the best "monitor" option while working from home. Have tried various ultarwides and 4k monitors. This TV is as good or better.
PS: I am talking about the LG 43UM7300. Other TV's will not work as well or will be terrible. This TV was made to function as a monitor.
