Scored on the router from another ymmv. Nice little router it's powerful and can take most tasks.

Wish it could accept 1/2 shank bits.

Anyone have a recommendation on router bits/ brand

The MLCS 1/4" bits are a good value and quality. Obviously not up to Freud standards but are a great place to start.

I have this set and also several other round-over bits for my trim router.

You can't. Get a different router if you need to run 1/2" bits.

I went with a cheapo set from Sears to start with. The bits that I used regularly I replaced with Whiteside, which I highly recommend.

None! I have been waiting for some. The starter kit was super cheap a month ago or so and sold out fast. Hasn't been in stock since I wonder if they will bring it back

I just got this router the other day but with a free 4.0ah battery. I guess I needed a battery more than the sander since I have a corded orbital. Maybe Black Friday will bring some octane batteries and new tools on sale.

I like Diablo/Freud. They come in a cool little case as well to keep them stored. Whiteside also makes good ones but they come in a little pouch. They're about the same price so I may stick to Freud.

Both of these are some of Ridgid's best tools. Both ergonomic and work really well. I actually prefer this sander over the Milwaukee cordless random orbital as well. Way better dust collector and nicer grip for your hand.

Good deal. I paid 80 for the sander alone a few months ago. Works great.
