Not the best deal and I was planning on waiting for end of season, but I've had my eye on one for awhile and just decided to go for it.

$299 for me zipcode 43528. You can get it shipped to your home as long as you change your "home store" to one who has it marked down before checking out.

I'm thinking the same, unless Ego takes back stock (which I doubt) HD will be stuck with a line they are discontinuing.
Just not sure it works because the more they sell, the less likely people buy into Ryobi ecosystem.
It's also $299 in store in NJ for the past couple of weeks. Brickseek has it listing as "clearance" for some stores while other stores it is listed as $299.
The price at stores reported as "clearance" by Brickseek is currently $299.
I think in store price will go lower especially at the "clearance" stores given HD is no longer carrying EGO products.
