FWIW, since that deal was at Musician's Friend (and the deal I posted here is at Guitar Center), I bet it is possible to get Musician's Friend to price match the Guitar Center price (at least for the same color).

When MF price matches, they take an extra 10% off the difference.

So you might get an extra $12 off.

Musician's Friend wouldn't be matching their own deal from several months ago, they'd be price-matching the *current* deal at Guitar Center, as that's how price-matching usually works. Musician's Friend would be even more likely to price match the current deal at Guitar Center because they were offering a similarly priced deal themselves within the past few months. (To explain another way, Musician's Friend was willing to sell at that price in the recent past on their own accord, so they are even more likely to sell at that price again in order to do price-matching against a competitor.) So if you really wanted this guitar, but only want to buy your gear from Musician's Friend for some reason, it would not hurt to try asking for a price match.
