You forgot the 32$ shipping
The 34GN850-B just came out in May. Its price point is fairly high plus there's the pandemic to factor in. So it seems reasonable that they put a limited number of these up for sale on eBay (Adorama) and Amazon which was at $803 for a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if it's on sale again for a short period before the year ends.

Quick summary from Alienware to LG.
- Native to OC refresh rates:
- Response time
- Brightness
- Bit depth + Color depth
I haven't really had any experience with HDR10 to be honest. Although it seems like the most common thing said by reviewers is that monitors generally aren't there yet, since it requires more brightness and potentially other factors I'm unfamiliar with.AW 120/144hz / LG 144/160hz
AW 2ms / LG 1ms
AW 350 nits / LG 440 nits
AW 8 Bit, 24 bit / LG 10 bit, 30 bit
Edit: In short you get more bang for your buck with the LG at the moment.
