Searched and didn't see anything so I figured I might as well share my experience:
I pre-ordered a Note 20 Ultra direct from Samsung with the extra $200 credit and $400 trade in from a old iPhone 8, total out of pocket was about $940. I was going to sell the accessories and my old phone (S10+) separately and hopefully bring down my out of pocket to around $400.
I received the Note 20 Ultra 2 days ago and wasn't terribly impressed with it so I initiated a return on Samsung.com and under the itemized return page there was an offer for me reconsider my return in exchange for an extra 10% off, maximum $100. With that my total out of pocket would be $300 or so which tipped the scale for me to keep the new phone and deal with the hassle of selling everything.
If you are on the fence about keeping/returning the Note 20 you can see if they give you the same offer. I'm attaching a screenshot of the email confirmation that they sent me the same day regarding the refund.
