This is the Briggs and Stratton P4500 inverter generator which had an initial price of $1160 in home depot. It has a starting wattage of 4500 and runs at 3700 watts.
Engineered to be compact, lightweight and quiet, the new P 4500 inverter generator has a protective hard shell to safeguard the unit from dirt and debris, never-go-flat wheels and a telescoping handle to make moving it around an RV site a breeze. A convenient push-button electric start turns on the Briggs & Stratton 224 cc engine to deliver 4500 starting watts and 3700 running watts. Its multi-functional digital display panel allows operators to monitor power usage, fuel level and run time. 4 household 120-Volt outlets, one 120-Volt 30 Amp RV outlet and 2 USB adaptors offer the operator flexibility to power a combination of lights, kitchen appliances and smart devices. Innovative inverter technology automatically adjusts the engine speed to lower the noise level and reduce fuel consumption. The P 4500 also features Quiet Power Technology and is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

Thank you 👋👋
"carbon monoxide shutdown technology shuts down the generator when harmful levels of carbon monoxide are detected"
Should be mandated for all generators, IF it's reliable .... any other gens with this feature?

a couple
champion has CO shield
https://www.championpow
you may want to wait for Honda to update their eu220i with this
https://www.globenewswi
afraid that some people may become complacent, and run this indoors (because they think the co device works). never run it indoors, need to be outside 20 feet away from home with exhaust pointing away

Agree/Correct: Folks don't think what the consequences are EVEN with an alarm.
Terrible that a family died of CO poisoning after Hurricane Laura.
20 ft? I got the HD cables for that, but 20 ft puts it into my neighbor's yard ..... hmmm 🤔
Terrible thought: I gas my neighbors, omg ..... smh 🥺
Could build a 20 ft tall stack with an gooseneck to limit rain geting in (?)
Thanks for the post op.

Since the hurricanes took out the power here for over a week a few weeks ago, I have been researching generator types and brands heavilly. If youre looking for 240v, you will need to go above 6000w (which makes sense as I cant remember a single 240v tool which is under 30 amps...maybe a small air conditioner?) You can always step up, but youll lose current.
Anyone recommend a efficient , low THD generator to power an appliance heater (combi boiler) fridge, chest freezer, and some lights? Occasionally may want to run a washing machine and (gas) dryer. I overloaded a 20 amp 120 plug from my neighbor's house during the last outage running those things, so I will obviously need past 2400 watts.

Here are my thoughts on getting more power. Instead of paying 10K for an entire house generator (after install and such) just get (2) inverters around 3500w each. Parallel them together and run a 50 amp cord to an outside receptacle on the house. Get an interlock kit for your house panel and you now can run whatever you pretty much want. In addition to that the inverters can go with you if you so choose to go camping or what not and if you sell the house you take them with you because they are portable. Just my 2 cents.
