I've never done this deal before, but I'm tempted as it looks like that monthly fee would translate directly to merchandise credits (accessories, coffee pods, etc). Can anyone confirm?

Seems like there's an interesting angle. After 90 days or three payments, you can cancel and pay 33% of the remaining payments. Plus the three first payments go to buying pods or accessories. Seems like you could get the machine for less than you'd pay otherwise.

I did this deal last time. It is very worth it if you are going for one of their top-of-the-line machines (creatista) and normally consume ~60 pods per month (2 per day). Love the creatista uno. Great machine!

What would happen if I ordered with a virtual credit card and canceled it after I get the machine?
You would have to return the machine otherwise you are stealing the item.

This is a great deal. You basically get the machine for 1 dollar since the entire monthly payment can is given as credit that can be used to purchase pods and accessories. If you're going to buy Nespresso pods anyways, you might as well get the machine for free.

Do the top of the line machines make a better cup of coffee than the lower end ones?

Espressos, no. Lattes, cappuccinos, yes. I have had the Creatista Plus and an Essenza machine for about 1.5 years. The Aeroccino type milk frothers sucks compared to the steam wand on the Creatista. If you enjoy milk-based drinks, I highly recommend the Creatista for the steam wand alone.

Some of these machines are quite expensive (especially the OriginalLine), so the machine is essentially free with this plan without forcing you to pay too much more for capsules. The coffee is overpriced, but it ranges from good to excellent and for somebody that wants a gourmet coffee experience it could be worthwhile.

Lol $50 a month for the highest end machines, what a joke. Those same machines you can get open box for under $200 if you keep your eyes peeled. So your literally trapping yourself in a OEM cycle trap, forcing you to buy only OEM products cause you will have credits that your overpaying for.

Talk about a scam, and how gullible people are that this actually works.
uh.. this is the nespresso system.

Yes buy you can buy non Nespresso pods for the original line which is what I use from other sellers and not Nespresso direct so you dont have to worry about over paying.

The most expensive stainless steel machine can be had for $244 open box like new currently. So that $50 a month is for suckers who dont know better.

This is a deal for those who dont know any better.

For somebody who's going to buy the (overpriced) capsules through Nespresso anyway they end up saving money.

Also you're comparing open box to brand new, at least use an example of a deal for a brand new Lattissima machine.
