New customers can get 20% off a Magenta or Magenta Plus plan and existing customers (or new customers getting a non-magenta plan) can get $200 off a 5G phone.

Price for 4 lines on Magenta with 20% Insider Hookup: $112

See more example costs in the last FAQ question below.

See redemption instructions in the wiki section below.

Offer ends September 30th.

Type 1: 20% off Hookup
This will be the most popular by far. It will give customers porting in from AT&T/Verizon/Eligible MVNO 20% off all voice lines for the life of the account, even lines added later in the life of the account. This offer is stackable with pretty much all existing promos such as discounts on phones when you add a line, etc. This will also stack with third line free.

Type 2: $200 off a 5G phone for new customers
This one will probably be the least popular. New customers can get a code for $200 off a 5G phone. It will stack with other active promos, for example if a 5G phone has 50% off with add a line, etc. This type is only really useful for those opening a new account that isn't a magenta or magenta plus account, such as when opening a 55+ account or a first responder account.

Type 3: $200 off a 5G phone for existing customers
Existing customers can get a $200 rebate card when they purchase a new 5G phone from T-Mobile on an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP). No add-a-line necessary.

We have PLENTY of codes over on the subreddit (r/tmobile) and in the subreddit's Discord server (linked in the about/sidebar of the subreddit).

FAQ:

Q: What is a "Hookup Code"?
A: A hookup code is a unique code provided by T-Mobile and Sprint employees. Each employee gets 3 codes to hand out of each type. This code can be registered online along with your phone number to give you discounts, either 20% off the account or $200 off a 5G phone, depending on the code.

Q: I used a code. Now what?
A: If you got no error messages, you're all set. For the 20% off code simply visit a T-Mobile store to setup a new account and port in the number you registered the code with. You don't even have to mention hookup to the employee if you don't want to, everything will be automatic. For the $200 off code, you will use it after buying a new 5G phone on EIP and receiving the phone.

Q: I already have a T-Mobile account. Can I get this deal?
A: No. New accounts only. You would need to port in a number from a carrier that is not a T-Mobile/Sprint account or one of their MVNOs into a brand new account using an account holder that does not currently have a postpaid T-Mobile account.

Q: My number was on T-Mobile or Sprint in the last 90 days. Do I qualify?
A: No. In order to qualify as a new customer, the number you port in (and use for the insider hookup) cannot have been on T-Mobile or Sprint (or one of their MVNOs) in the last 90 days.

Q: Can I stack other promos?
A: Yes! 20% Hookup is compatible with pretty much all other promos like phone trade in deals.

Q: How much would my plan be with the 20% discount?
A: On Magenta, 1 line is $56, 3 lines is $96 (w/third line free), 4 lines is $112, and additional lines are +$16 each (up to 8 lines). On Magenta Plus, 1 line is $68, 3 lines is $112, 4 lines is $136, and additional lines are +$24 each (up to 8 lines). Both plans are taxes included, so what you see is what you pay.

I'm guessing they got nothing for single people without ripping you off with insane prices.

Hi,
Could you help describe this feature clearer? How can I know if I have it on my acct?

"... free overseas data roaming was given with unlimited text at 3g+ speeds..."

I also thought I had this feature when I signed up on Magenta late last year but when I login to my acct, I can only see:

Simple Global (texting and data abroad) - Texting and 2G (128kbps) data speeds in 210+ countries.

Maybe it was a mistake on my part misunderstanding it for some other 3G related feature, so any help or pointing to the right place to look is most appreciated.

Thanks!
I get 3G+ speeds in most of Western / Mid Europe for the past 4yrs. Enough data speed to play games like Clash Royale or run Google Maps without a hitch. I was capped at 2G speeds for maybe 4hrs once in Rome at 7am, likely due to the influx of commuters entering the city and crippling the network I was on.

from my understanding this isn't added to the ONE plan any longer.

Thanks for the information. Sucks that it won't port over. The rest sounded pretty good for an extra bit of cash.
Try grabbing the redpocket sim + 1 month service for $10 deal. Would work great for your use, put it on redpocket ATT or VZW for a few days while you get your hookup code etc ready and then port to TMO.

https://slickdeals.net/f/14326796-redpocket-mobile-unlimited-talk-text-20gb-lte-data-for-10-first-mo...

It's getting horrible reviews because it $10 first month only, but fits your needs perfectly!

Actually you can get the deal but little complicated......

1- get a new account with five lines from Att/Verizon
2- port these numbers to Tmobile to get the 20% discount.
3- now create another new account with att/verizon and port your metro lines

4- call Tmobile and change your Tmobile numbers with the your numbers from att/Verizon.

The first step is called porting and that's what will give the discount and the 2nd step is not porting but rather changing your numbers and that will not void your discount.

It is quite difficult but it is worth I think.
So, step #2 also includes starting a new TMO account as well, correct?
And for #1 and #3, you mean ATT/VZW MVNO accounts, right? otherwise that's 3 credit checks in this process. . .

And is this Jman100 approved?

Only one credit check and that's the Tmobile one. For ATT/VERIZON you can use their prepaid service instead of their regular postpaid accounts.

If it's only for a few weeks I would grab those $10 redpocket deals. . .but can all your real numbers (from TMO) come back to TMO within a month?

I think the numbers have to be ported out of TMO for at least 90 days? Maybe 30?

English is not my 1st language so I can't explain it perfectly but this scenario is for those who already have a Tmobile or sprint service but want to take advantage of this 20% discount

so as I said the first step is to create a brand new account with Verizon/ATT ( start with New numbers, and then port these numbers to Tmobile in order to get the deal..

At this point you closed your ATT/Verizon account and you have a new T-mobile account with the discount but you also have your original account with Tmobile/Sprint...

Now go back to your original Tmobile/Sprint account and port these lines to ATT/Verizon or even Google voice...

Okay now call Tmobile and tell them I want to change my current phone number with a mother coming from different carrier, (this time you're changing your number, your not actually porting it)

Changing your number will not void your discount even if the phone line is a tmobile prepaid provider.... The initial porting is the most important, that is what will give you a discount.

Again my English is not that great so sorry if you didn't understand the whole point..

One last thing I need to mention is that Google voice might also be another option beside ATT and Verizon.

hmmm I ported out from tmobile and moved to mint about two months ago.

I don't think this deal is good enough to go back yet.

Hope to see a better deal on Black Friday!

Any time someone is trying to get the deal as an existing customer it gets hairy. I can't recommend anything personally but I will say that only one line needs to be ported from competitor to get 20%, and the rest can be COR'd. If you want third line free (included in my price quotes) you'd need lines 2 and 3 to either be new lines or port in from competitor. Then lines 4+ can be COR'd in from existing tmo accounts (COR = port from tmobile to tmobile basically). As far as any other tricks like replacing the lines I can't advise

Current long time Verizon customer here. Seen a few good looking TMobile deals in the past for coming over that gave nice discounts on phones or additional lines. Is there any other promotion that people are talking advantage of that can stack with the 20% off lifetime? My Verizon service has really been lacking and disappointing so I'd probably come over to try it alone for a bit before deciding to bring over my wife's line.
We just switched to T-Mobile, from Verizon. We had been with Verizon many years but our service has also been getting worse this past year. I didn't want to leave as I thought T-Mobile was considered subpar compared to ATT and Verizon. My hubby walked in to the T-Mobile, just to cross them off the list. We ended up setting up four lines, and didn't port our number until the next day, after checking out reception. I can't tell you how excited we were to find out that coverage was excellent, all around town. We are so happy we left Verizon. Excellent coverage for almost half of what we were paying. Now paying $112 for for 4 lines on the Magenta plan, with 4th line free and auto pay discount.

It should work that way, but for your records it is best to discuss it over Twitter TForce that way it's all in writing and TForce has the powers to fudge numbers around so they work in your favor, without a bumbling rep instore/phone.
