New customers can get 20% off a Magenta or Magenta Plus plan and existing customers (or new customers getting a non-magenta plan) can get $200 off a 5G phone.

Price for 4 lines on Magenta with 20% Insider Hookup: $112

See more example costs in the last FAQ question below.

See redemption instructions in the wiki section below.

Offer ends September 30th.

Type 1: 20% off Hookup
This will be the most popular by far. It will give customers porting in from AT&T/Verizon/Eligible MVNO 20% off all voice lines for the life of the account, even lines added later in the life of the account. This offer is stackable with pretty much all existing promos such as discounts on phones when you add a line, etc. This will also stack with third line free.

Type 2: $200 off a 5G phone for new customers
This one will probably be the least popular. New customers can get a code for $200 off a 5G phone. It will stack with other active promos, for example if a 5G phone has 50% off with add a line, etc. This type is only really useful for those opening a new account that isn't a magenta or magenta plus account, such as when opening a 55+ account or a first responder account.

Type 3: $200 off a 5G phone for existing customers
Existing customers can get a $200 rebate card when they purchase a new 5G phone from T-Mobile on an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP). No add-a-line necessary.

We have PLENTY of codes over on the subreddit (r/tmobile) and in the subreddit's Discord server (linked in the about/sidebar of the subreddit).

FAQ:

Q: What is a "Hookup Code"?
A: A hookup code is a unique code provided by T-Mobile and Sprint employees. Each employee gets 3 codes to hand out of each type. This code can be registered online along with your phone number to give you discounts, either 20% off the account or $200 off a 5G phone, depending on the code.

Q: I used a code. Now what?
A: If you got no error messages, you're all set. For the 20% off code simply visit a T-Mobile store to setup a new account and port in the number you registered the code with. You don't even have to mention hookup to the employee if you don't want to, everything will be automatic. For the $200 off code, you will use it after buying a new 5G phone on EIP and receiving the phone.

Q: I already have a T-Mobile account. Can I get this deal?
A: No. New accounts only. You would need to port in a number from a carrier that is not a T-Mobile/Sprint account or one of their MVNOs into a brand new account using an account holder that does not currently have a postpaid T-Mobile account.

Q: My number was on T-Mobile or Sprint in the last 90 days. Do I qualify?
A: No. In order to qualify as a new customer, the number you port in (and use for the insider hookup) cannot have been on T-Mobile or Sprint (or one of their MVNOs) in the last 90 days.

Q: Can I stack other promos?
A: Yes! 20% Hookup is compatible with pretty much all other promos like phone trade in deals.

Q: How much would my plan be with the 20% discount?
A: On Magenta, 1 line is $56, 3 lines is $96 (w/third line free), 4 lines is $112, and additional lines are +$16 each (up to 8 lines). On Magenta Plus, 1 line is $68, 3 lines is $112, 4 lines is $136, and additional lines are +$24 each (up to 8 lines). Both plans are taxes included, so what you see is what you pay.

A: On Magenta, 1 line is $56, 3 lines is $112 (w/third line free), 4 lines is $128...

Why with '3rd line free' is $112? The regular Magenta price is three lines for $140. After 20% discount is exactly $112. If the third line is really free, three lines should be $120x0.8=$96.

You are correct, the 4 line price was wrong too. Fixed.

Did you call to apply the discount of 3rd line free? How many new/imported lines you have, one or two?
No, I went to the store to transport 2 lines from Verizon and added 2 new lines, see my original post copied bellow:

Last month, I ported two number from Verizon and added two lines at the same time. I kept my two iPhone X from Verizon and bought two iPhone 11s with BOGO deal. The manager said he would give me 20% off if I added a data only line, and he said that would be a few bucks cheaper than $140, which is what I would get for 4 lines. I don't need the data line, but I don't mind saving a few bucks either. So I agreed, and end up with 4 Magenta voice lines and 1 data only (3GB) line.

I noticed that one of new lines has a "PlusUp Data" on it, which I don't need. My questions are, 1. will remove "PlusUp Data" affect my 20% off? 2. Will cancel the data only line affect any of my deals? Thanks in advance!

Darn it, The type 3 offer details say it is just for the purchase of a 5G phone. I was just about to purchase an iPhone 11 Pro Max and then it struck me that it wasn't 5G. So, I suppose this offer isn't for those of us upgrading iPhones.

I joined Tmobile in August using type 1 code. Can I use type 3 code when the new iPhone comes out without losing discount from my type 1 code?

I did this. The best way to do it is in stores or via t-mobile fb chat or something. The codes you find on reddit might already be redeemed and it kinda messes with your account a bit. Anyway, yeah I did this last month coming from Verizon Visible.
Do I need 4 codes if I port in 4 lines to Magenta acct? I am porting from VZ.

I plan on doing this instore. Please help me clarify the process so that I can be on top of things and not let store rep mess it up.

Porting in 4 lines from VzW. New TMO account.

Magenta plan. Should be $112 with 20% discount. (They have a 3rd line free).

I have $125 remaining on each of the lines at VzW.

Will TMO help pay it off and stack with Type 1 discount?

Then I want o buy 3 iPhone11 free with new acct new line port-in and trade-in (trading in iPhoneX). So iPhone11 should be free after monthly credits over 24 months.

There is $30 activation fee for each line with Type 1 discount.

Will all of the above stack/work in conjunction with each other?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Just 1 code. The first few weeks is a bit weird cuz you still see you get charged regular price. Then it magically decreases. Again, I found it easiest doing it in stores. Some people trust online chat too much. The people in stores are forced to work with you face to face.
