i have google voice so i get a new mint sim every 3 months from bestbuy sale (12gig for $60) since i dont care about the mint phone #.

buying from mint directly, it's $75 which doesnt meet the $90 minimum.
cant buy 2 mint sims ($150) because they expire in 45days.

their new $30/month unlimited plan only allows 5gig for hotspot. Frown
i need hotspot because i use mint as my home internet.

renewing my current acct for another 3 months is a stupid $135.
135 - 45 = 90 which is more than the $60 i can get from bestbuy.

how to best use this 45off90 offer?
Quick question, did you have any issues connecting things like whatsapp or any other apps tied to the number that you ported to Google Voice?

Thanks!

My wife and I both have the card (different number but same account). Can I use it 2 times with different card?
TIA

You could probably use the mint number for things like that when the Google number doesn't work.

Can you help explain how to do that?
If you have this offer on 2 cards (1 yourself and 1 Auth user or whichever combination), that's how you can maximize IMO.

For Existing users:
12 month 3GB plan is $180, so load $90 from 1 card into wallet and $90 from the other. Effective cost would be 180 - 45 -45 = 90 + taxes (around 23-24) ~ 105 ~ $9/mo

For New users:
Use Cashback site for $20. First 3 months price = $45 for 3GB plan
Load wallet for $90 with 1 card and $90 with the other. Change plan to 12 months, This will be effective after 3 months are passed, but you can set-up now

Total cost = 45 + 180 - 45 -45 - 20(referral or cashback site) $115 + taxes (~30) = $145 for 15 months ~$9.7/mo

Hope this helps

Anyone have experience with using Mint's wallet? Can you use it for renewals or just add-ons like extra data and international calling?
If you click on 'Make Payment' under 'My Plan' on their website
they give you the choice of paying with a credit card or your Mint Wallet.

.y mom needs a new phone and I was thinking iPhone SE2. I don't see anything that would stop me from buying one with a $45 credit, but I have it on two cards. Not finding a way to split payment, have anyone figured that out?

Would not recommend buying a phone from Mint. Lots of horror stories on Reddit about problems with shipping, etc.

It just says he has an ownership stake in Mint. Could be 5% or 95%.

Thanks for sharing... I looked at their phones and the prices are insanely high, selection is pretty bad too with many old phones selling at top dollar... Frown It does not seem like I can take advantage of this deal in any way. I'm with Red Pocket which has better prices.

For anyone interested, in my limited experience the 45 day to activate rule isn't enforced. I've activated 60-90 says after purchase and it still worked.
