Good deal but if you have a bigger room the R12 is still $190@ Costco.

The built in amp is for the sub only. You need a receiver or separate amps for the rest of your speakers.

I would get the 12 inch even with a small room.

And then when I see the 12 posted people say the 10 sounds cleaner. I have no experience but I think I may grab the 10 because I need to replace an old 10 that died and I'm not ready to upgrade and go big yet

Not bad at all. I own the R12-SW from the Costco deal, it doesn't compare to high end subs but it certainly gets the job done and is very powerful. I've seen some people say the R10-SW sounds better, and while it's less powerful it's still enough for most rooms. If you're looking for a sub in this price range you won't regret getting this. Some people might recommend the Bic F12 or a Dayton SUB-1200 or SUB-1500 as alternatives... I doubt there's a big difference in this price range so you might as well save a few bucks.

Solid deal. I paid less than this for it two years ago, but would have paid more for it knowing the quality. Very good for a small surround or in tandem with the Yamaha ATS-1060 (or 1070, 1080) soundbar.

The R-12SW (12") seems like the obviously better deal at just a few bucks more. I've got a few R-12SW's and have found them to be a bit "boomy". I've heard that the 10" (the model on sale here) is a much tighter sounding sub. I haven't compared them myself. The SVS "isolation pads" do help with this though.

For the 12" size, I've found the newer R-120SW (goes on sale for $199-249 around xmas) to be the better sounding sub over the 12SW (much tighter bass with a solid punch).

Would this be easy to upgrade my Klipsch Pro media 2.1 with this subwoofer? Also do you recommend it? I'm mainly using for games and movies.

I have the R12SW, and yes it's little on the boomy side, and you can't really turn up the sub volume knob to 3 notch, I left it at 1st notch. It would be too over-power or over-boomy if the volume goes pass 3 notch. So it seems all the extra power and volume of the 12" is useless.

It you enjoy tighter and cleaner bass, go with this 10" one, I haven't heard it personally but yes many reviewers mentioned.
