If interested in buying a watch, I'd spend my money on a vintage watch instead, like a Timex Viscount or a decent Marlin for just a little more money. You'll get much more enjoyment out of it, in my opinion.

If this were the automatic with Seiko movement, I'd be more supportive.

Nice! Rolex looks and quality for half the price. Does anyone know if the middle links are gold-plated or solid gold?

The automatic version is more interesting at $58.79. Some of the automatics drop down to $50 sometimes on Amazon.

This is the type of watch you wear to get the type of compliments one would get for wearing a Rolex. But it also comes with the instant shame of having to explain that its not a Rolex to those people who ask to see it up close.

With social distancing that was solved!

FWIW, at 37.5mm this is a small watch. It looks ok on small wrists, but on a larger wrist it will look tiny. (I have small wrists and prefer 40mm.)

I have the 8935 in gold/navy. It ticks loudly, where I had to put it in a drawer in my bedroom, or else I'd hear it at night.

After getting a smart watch, I almost never wear my other watches any more. My Invicta's battery died and I probably won't bother to replace it.
