It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

Good thoughts. Did call and was told I qualified by date, just need to decide how best to shake the Reserve to get in on this.
how did you qualify as it hasn't been 48 months since CSR gave its first bonus?

anyone know how long these offer normally last? i would rather have the reserve but i want them to up their sign up bonus.
There is no guarantee. Even if they did increase it to 100K, a 100K offer for $550 annual fee isn't better than an 80K offer for $95 annual fee

Credit for the bonus offer. (800 * 1.5) -95 ?
You won't be approved for a chase card is you have had 5 new credit cards combined in the past 24 months from any credit card company.

Ordinarily You cannot get cash at the 50% bonus rate, but Chase is now offering that 50% as credit towards grocery and home depot purchases (its up to Sept 30 but may get extended).

Urgh.... I'm finally under the Chase limit and was hoping to do the Reserve if they up the bonus but now this.....
Go for this . Don't count on Reserve. 80K for $95 is way better than a hypothetical 100 K for $550.

Did Chase previously offer 60K miles with no annual fee in Year 1?. Did they now make the $95 fee mandatory in Year 1 and upped the points from 60K to 80K?

1. Has the CSP annual fee even been waived?
2. Has anyone been able to generate referrals for their Chase account for this card? If so, which card did you have to generate the referral from?

yes, that's how it works for the groceries for the 50% bonus. Example. You bought groceries for $100...instead of redeeming 10,000 points for it, you get a statement credit for $100 for only 6,666 points. (6666 times 1.5 = 10,000). However do note that teh Sapphire Preferred only has a 25% bonus; only the Sapphire Reserve has the 50% bonus.

Can you upgrade a Preferred to a Reserve if you close or downgrade a Reserve and immediately open a Preferred?
Yes, the only condition is that you can only hold 1 Sapphire card at any point in time.

for me personally the reserve is much better. I would earn way more to justify the increased annual fee. Let alone the increase of 1.5 compared to this 1.25 redemption rate. Hope you get educated to really find out what works best for your situation

With all due respect, I think you do. if you spend as much money as you seem to suggest, the value of your time would be far more valuable than the gains you get from chasing deals on slickdeals.net.

sorry did not mean to offend you, just trying to educate you on what you may not know. i know lots people that wont apply to a card if there is annual fee, but in reality it is a much better deal then the free cards offered

No, not offended. I just assumed your time would be more valuable and it was a strange way of complimenting you. I know many on slickdeals chase deals even though they are extremely well off, relatively. Maybe it is that kind of mentality that got them well off in the first place.

Respect.
