It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

noob here ... aside from travel, whats the best way to use these points? (travel doesnt seem that good now because of covid)

i already have 20k UR points on my chase freedom card - should i combine points?
Use the "pay yourself back" feature to redeem points for groceries with a 50% bonus redemption value for CSR and 25% for CSP. That's the same redemption for travel.

Transfer your chase freedom points to the CSP an those points suddenly become 25% more valuable because of the bonus.

Yes if you link your amazon account to a card that can redeem ultimate reward points you can use a portion or all of your points toward amazon purchases when you checkout
That's not free...you are paying with points

For those that weren't approved for the card instantaneously, could you please indicate how many days it took for Chase to either approve or deny the card, and how did you find out about such a decision? Did they email you the decision or did it come via email?

Can I close this account before annual fee is charged?
I believe if you close or convert the account before the 12th statement, you can avoid annual fee.

Combine your wife's points with yours. If you have a Reserve card and points are moved to it, the points are automatically 50% more in value for redemption. So 80K points is now magically worth $1,200. Pooling points and using it for redemption on the Reserve card is a great advantage. So, you could tell your wife to apply for the card, transfer the 80K to you, but then be kind enough to give her $1,200 or buy her something of that value.
My wife got approved today for CSP 80K points
She has a Chase freedom card as well
I thought I had CSR but it was closed by Chase for inactivity -got 5/2016 closed 4/2020
I don't have any Chase cards at all
what are my best options? Thanks

Restrictions aside, is it worth getting this card if I don't travel often? (1-2 times international a year)

Seems the Refer a friend link only gives 60K. Possible that chase will update the link?

I previouly had this card about 3 years ago and there's a 48 month rule for the bonus. But when I logged into my Chase account, the 80k offer was there. Should I try to apply even though its before the 48-month rule?

I applied yesterday and was not approved instantly. Got an email saying they were gonna review it. After around 24 hrs got an email saying that the application is approved and they are gonna send the card in two weeks of time.

Does having multiple chase cards affect the chance of approval? Currently. I have 4 different chase cards.

Not one bit. It might actually improve your odds to near certainty. If they could trust you with 4 cards, with no issues so far, they might as well give you another, as the logic goes.

Absolutely. 80K for $95...that's an offer unlikely to be exceeded.

You have to wait for another week or two. for the 80K to show up. ONLY CSP customers can refer a CSP card.

the 48 month rule still applies. the offer they showed you was generic not customized for your situation.
