It's 4 years since receiving the sign up bonus.
You have to wait 4 years since opening the first one before you can get another.
The application date or the card open date doesn't matter. What matters is the date that you received the sign-up bonus. That date is probably the closing date of the statement in which it was awarded to you.

For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

I've been out of the churning game for a while, but I definitely know I'm under 5/24 and my last Sapphire family card was this CSP back in 2012/2013. My wife got the CSR at the end of 2016, but that shouldn't impact me, right?

I should be eligible for this and the 80K bonus? I'm pretty sure I'm only 2/24 currenly.

Thanks.
As long as you no longer have the CSP that you got in 2012/13, you are eligible.

I currently have a CSR. If I downgrade it to a freedom, is there a wait period before applying for this card to get the bonus? The terms just say not currently a card holder of any sapphire card

Assuming that you are eligible for the CSP bonus (ie. more than 48 months have passed since getting the signup bonus for the CSR), you just need to wait 4+ days after the downgrade. At this point, very few people who have applied for/got the CSR are eligible for a new Sapphire bonus.

If the terms just say not currently a card holder of any sapphire card, why did you go and make up your own new terms?

Bottomline: if you don't add your own terms, what is the answer to your question? "If I downgrade it to a freedom, is there a wait period before applying for this card to get the bonus?"

Maybe someone here can help, as Chase Customer Service couldn't.

I was approved for the card and got an email saying "Your new credit card ending in 5161 is on its way, but you can add it to your digital wallet now and start using it to pay in stores, online and in merchant apps." I can see the last 4 digits of the card in the Chase app and when logged in to Chase.com, but I need the complete number to be able to actually use it. The Chase Customer Service rep said there is no way to get the number until you get it in the mail. So I said the email is WRONG, you can't use it NOW? She apologized.

Anyone know a way to actually get the complete number before getting the card in the mail? I would like to start building my way up the $4K spending threshold ASAP.

I believe on the Chase app there should be an option to add to digital wallet. From there you can select Apple Pay or Google Pay or Paypal. Just follow the steps to confirm and verify. You don't need to know the full card number nor the 3 digit code or expiration date.

Thanks, Lakers fan. No Apple Pay, as I have a Samsung Android, but I was able to add the card to Samsung Pay. Paypal did not work. I now have 3 Chase cards, but when I try to link, the new Sapphire card is the only one not available to link to Paypal. I guess Chase is holding it back until I notify them that I have received it in the mail? There is an option to manually add a card, but then you would need the complete card number.

This was changed to 80K a few days ago and has been discussed earlier in this thread. I can also confirm as I received an 80K referral.

Up until recently, referral links were still for the old (50k or 60k?) offer. Chase has now updated the referrals to the new (80K) public offer.

The referrer gets 15k points. The person being referred gets 80k.
