I believe you just need to call the current carrier and request it be unlocked.

Can anyone confirm if this will work with MetroPCS? The T-Mobile Bands match up, and I assume it will be fine but just want to make sure, Thanks in advance.

The device must have been active on the T‑Mobile network for at least 40 days on the requesting line.

T-Mobile policy requires device must have been active on the T‑Mobile network for at least 40 days of service.

FYI a lot of complaints from owners about notification issues due to Oneplus' power optimization algorithms (not the regular Android ones like Adaptive Power that you can shut off). Might not be that big of a deal if you regularly check into important apps but if you rely on just notifications it can be a real headache, especially when it decides to suppress a messaging app or gmail lol

You can get a Oneplus 8 for about $50 more with a better processor and without that Eddy Munster camera crap on the top.

Got mine for $380.00 last time with Student Bean (need a .edu email address).

No real complants about the phone... LOVE IT. I did find the battery life drained a little fast but now I just use the battery saver mode, turn on the GPS and I personally don't notice a difference and the battery life last much longer.

Pleople were talking about buying the One8 in a past deal and selling all the accessories on Fleabay... but I think your price becomes closer to $550 then $450 and it's alot of hoops to jump over.

People were talking about unlocking this device BEFORE you put in a sim card.... but once you put in a Sim, you need to go through Tmobile.

I personally, put in my Sim and then tried to unlock the phone an of course FAILED. I called Tmobile and they basically told me to call them back in 40 days... No matter to me since I actually use Tmobile.
