I had two hero 7 blacks go "bad" on me and was engaged in a 1.5 year fight with them over replacements on and off, only to find out that two out of three Samsung memory cards I bought off of Amazon as FP slick deals were fakes, and actually what caused my cameras to freeze, crash, fail to give me clear files at random. I felt like an idiot. I was so sure it was GoPro's fault.
Amazon gave me refunds for the cards even tho one was over a year old and I threw them in the trash.
Next memory cards I buy will be directly from Best Buy via price matching to Amazon.
First, if you are already a gopro subscriber, they give you an additional discount on the camera. I am not, so I couldn't see what the discount actually was.
When you check out, they break out the subscription cost (49.99) separately from the bundle cost and ask you to acknowledge it. At first, I was confused and thought they were adding this to the total cost, but when I checked out, it wasn't added. I did have to pay tax, and 2-day shipping was free.
I have a GoPro Subscription but I can't seem to get the additional discount for existing members. Anyone have success on it?
you can use same email, go into your gopro account and close the subscription, and then delete the account. Sure you may lose two weeks that you paid for, but you'll get refunded a prorated amount and then you can buy it and take advantage of the 1 year subscription you're paying for anyways.
Trading in a HTC RE ... It was an original MSRP of $200 so that qualifies I got em refurbished years ago and they don't care if it's broken or damaged ... Just have to meet that $100 brand new MSRP price lol ....I got the re for $60 back then

This no longer holds true. When I was checking out it did not separate the subscription cost and in the terms and conditions it mentions existing subscribers are excluded to this special.
Agree
I have every Gopro up to 7. They are in my pile of Not used Junk somewhere in the house.
Have to say 9 seems good with all the addtional gadgets. Another way to waste money again
I've had every single GoPro since the 3. I sell mine each year right before the new one comes for nearly what I paid on sale the previous year. LOL. just sold my gopro 8 with a few accessories for over 400. now I'm buying the 9! Free upgrade almost every year!

Who are all these suckers paying full price for a year-old used GoPro?
Unless you're including $100 of accessories that you're re-buying each year?

That seems to be the best/safest solution.
This! There is massive issue with Amazon that had been going on for a few years, but the last 2 have been a real issue with their "co-mingled" inventory. All items shipped in from third party sellers is added in with other sellers, including amazon themselves. So if someone ships in counterfeit items, and they make it past the inventory check to the "bin" you may end up with a something authentic, you may end up with a fake. Just be sure to check your items closely, or do what blesum said to do.
