I had two hero 7 blacks go "bad" on me and was engaged in a 1.5 year fight with them over replacements on and off, only to find out that two out of three Samsung memory cards I bought off of Amazon as FP slick deals were fakes, and actually what caused my cameras to freeze, crash, fail to give me clear files at random. I felt like an idiot. I was so sure it was GoPro's fault.
Amazon gave me refunds for the cards even tho one was over a year old and I threw them in the trash.
Next memory cards I buy will be directly from Best Buy via price matching to Amazon.
First, if you are already a gopro subscriber, they give you an additional discount on the camera. I am not, so I couldn't see what the discount actually was.
When you check out, they break out the subscription cost (49.99) separately from the bundle cost and ask you to acknowledge it. At first, I was confused and thought they were adding this to the total cost, but when I checked out, it wasn't added. I did have to pay tax, and 2-day shipping was free.
Purchased without the subscription and got a free 32gb micro sdxc for $359.99 plus tax using the 20% UNIDAYS coupon, plus 5% CB via Chase Freedom Paypal and 3% CB via popular CB site.

Why not purchase with subscription? Any additional charges in the first year?
I see many are opting to buy without the subscription by price matching at other stores. Are there any problems buying with the subscription at GoPro? Any hidden costs?

No hidden costs as long as you remember to cancel the annual subscription before it expires. Also some good benefits, including 50% off most official GoPro accessories, insurance for the camera and cloud storage, that you won't get by price matching...

Right.. the accessory discount alone is worth a fair bit, imo.

Is there a hard shell carrying case included when you buy the camera?
Yep - they ditched the clear plastic packaging from prior years and replaced with a very basic hard shell carrying case. Still better than nothing though...
I have given up reading tm through all the post but has anyone pointed out that there is no 5k let alone standards?
Movies are going from 4k to 8k. And restorations are going higher then that 4,8,16,32k. I went with a 4k tv years ago before they standardized 4k uhd and regret part of that considering it was over 5g. Just want to point out the 5k could be misleading
Bank of America rewards also have 10% cashback on gopro.com, up to $22 off.
For some reason I'm also not seeing the BofA deal. I'm looking at both current and expired AmeriDeals in their app. Are you talking about something else?

It showed up under my account, I believe it might be targeted like amex offers
Does Gopro typically have a sale blackfriday or cyber monday? Is it worth it to hold out for another 30 or so days to find out? Looks like this $350 is just the current price for now, guessing the competition is driving down the prices a bit so they are trying not to loose to much market share

Just picked up the GoPro 9 bundle (Sd card, case, spare battery and floating grip & swivel clip) plus the 1yr subscription for 349.98. Does anyone think it will go cheaper for the bundle on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

That seems to be the best/safest solution.
