*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Have you read the thread? Promo not active yet....cancel and read....OMG

The free phone is not 'free' it's credits for 24 months...like contracts, most promo's are this way.
I know,, but I asked about an upcoming promotion that will start tomorrow & she looked for promotion and is giving me "add free line" & "free phone" promotion which is running Sept 16th - 22nd
for SC plans

Then you are good to go, until you are not.

If the rep was not accurate, you loose. Every time. It takes lots of effort to backtrack the issue from a rep that might not have all the facts.

Verify the line has no charge and only taxes....do not use 'free'...they see 'free' add a line promos and think it's all free.

I have a free line from the July free line promotion and have a 5 paid lines, total of 6 phone lines.

Can anyone give some advice on how to cancel one of the paid line and transfer it's number onto the free line? We want to keep the phone number tied to the paid line.

If you get a competent rep, he/she can re-assign the *paid line number* to the *free line number* and put the *paid line* in 'suspended mode with a temp number' while the transition occurs. Once done, he/she cancels the *paid line*

I've done this, but it took me nearly a month to finally get a rep who knew exactly how this done w/o screwing up your account.

OK , thanks for all info.
So the phone is "free" after 24 months of credits correct?
That is fine, I have had my account for a long time and no plans to cancel, It is not a contract for my service? just my phone correct?
It will not effect my Grandfathered SC plan.
This is the first promotion I have done in a couple years with T-Mobile,
This is a "free line" & a "free phone" after the monthly credit.. from my understanding
promo dated 16-h - 22nd
So yes I guess it is the same deal, free line & free phone, that is starting on the 18th ?
Only it is current now today. I am not sure of the technical "deal" specifics.. if it is the same promo as OP? .. but is actually going on now!? Or maybe the promo I got is slightly different? For example I asked them if this was "voice only" she said no this is voice and I should get unlimited data (4G fast) that is included in my other plans?

I have the FRLTUL4LP and I'm maxed out at 8 lines.
Tforce is the twitter support, right?
I'm still scared to make a change EEK!

I am on same boat, will try with Tforce tomorrow and see if they can make 9-12 and add this new free line.

Correct on the 24 months (I also have these as I like T-mobile), you can pay the phone early and the credits continue - no no worries once they get it going...

No idea if it's the same promo as the OP, the information floating around is that it starts the 18th....might be sooner, but not published as such to find any bugs in the system....t-mobile has had bugs that cost me thousands, but they made it all good eventually (iphone 6 debacle).

For me, I'll wait... so they may not have any hiccups Applause

When I took advantage of the iPhone 11 promo, they changed my plan to 9-12. Then when I ported those lines out and went back to 7 lines, the bill hardly dropped because I was in the 9+ plan. They had to switch me back to 8- plan to get back to normal. I'm at 8 now and am hesitant to push my luck again.

OK, Think I got it figured out: Yes, I got this promotion from the OP. One day early.
But it turned into a hassle, because the rep gave me a 6GB plan I did not want., (which costs $15 a Mo) (I already have 4GB plan)
so I called back and talked to new rep, & does not have access to order yet, but he will contact me Monday to make sure the 6Gb plan gets removed.

So they had me do, esign, but since it was early, the plan will get rejected, (because it was early) and they will manually re-add new free-line plan.
So in the end it will take at least another phone call to make sure it all is ok.

Why didn't you just wait one day? All of this could've been avoided so easily.
