*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

It really sucks that T-Mobile has no more 256GB phones in stock. 64GB are useless, to me.

so you just go through the online steps, without entering any promo code, see the additional charge, but OK it anyway, and hope when the sim card ships the charges will go away? Sounds quite risky to me.. If it doesn't go away, would you be able to cancel the line later on?

I called in, they said my plan had a max of 7 lines which I'm at, so I couldn't add a free line. sigh.

What's the URL for this promo? I think the rep was talking about my plan i think SCFUTT4, which can have max of 7 lines? Not sure where I can verify that...

If anyone adds a line that they won't be using, I'm open to paying you for the line, just message me and we can work something out!

I have MAGENTA2 but the agent on chat said I maxed out at 7 lines. But online it says Magenta can have up to 12 lines: "You can have up to 12 voice lines and 20 mobile internet lines on a regular Magenta or Magenta Plus customer account"

Thing is CS hasn't replied back in over 5h after asking them to add the line - what can I do now? 611 is out of office and adding the line from my account throws an error Frown

Epic Fail.
Has this happened to anyone before?
I had the chat representative add a free line on us, no issues, then proceeded to have them port a AT&T line over. The rep ported the AT&T line on top of my main line instead of the Temporary T-Mobile line that was just added! Now I'm trying to get T-Mobile to help me get my original line back. They said wait 24 hours.

Anyone seen this? Any successful stories? Do i have any hopes?

I'm on the 4 magenta lines for $100 first responder plan. I got the text message that I get a free line, but my SOC wasn't listed, so I messaged them through Facebook. Initially, I was told I didn't qualify for the free line. But the Facebook messenger rep randomly messaged me back several hours later saying he received a memo saying that I did qualify since I received the text. So, I got 5 magenta lines for $100.

That is how it worked for the Free Line a couple of months ago. If you had the proper SOC, and you had room to add lines, the system recognized the promotions and it got reflected on My Account the same day or day after. Even Retail stores rep confirmed that all they had to do was Add the line and the system will do the rest.

Of course, you will see people having all kinds of problems even with T-force, 611, or phone reps. So nothing is guaranteed

Added a free line at Costco. They just took down the IMEI of my current phone that's on EIP with T-Mobile and said it wouldn't be an issue. Anyone else have the same experience?
Similar but not exact same experience. They used IMEI of my current locked phone that is paid off with T-Mobile. Hopefully this won't cause any issues with rebate.

must be from international agent. Local US agents are fine.

Yea I did... I asked for manager and then she said upon checking it seems its free....
Quote from waterchange :
Ignore the agent. If you know your account SOC qualifies, just add a line (via agent, online, chat). You're leaving it up to one of the bazillion agents to be knowledgeable about the offer. In the past offer thread, I believe I've read posts where an agent thinks an account qualifies, adds a line, only to find out later it didn't. Although I'm sure it's rare, agents make mistakes too. Again, if your account qualifies then just add a line in the most convenient way for you and it will be free. The worst thing that can happen is your account really doesn't qualify and you have to cancel the line ... not the end of the world. This won't happen because you confirmed your SOC code per the first post before proceeding.
Thanks for the confidence guys! will try again tomorrow

my SOC code is FRLTUL2LP, not in the list, does this mean it's not eligible to a free line?

Yes, that would be the logical conclusion.
