*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

Interesting, TForce just now told me that unless my SIM ships, line is not added, hence can't be ported-in.

My free line was suspended after I did port in and availed iPhone pro promo, anyone in the same boat? The order for iPhone is still processing.
Same. I think it's standard while phone ships

Did the line get added yet? My order is prepping but the line has been added to my account already.

I'm on Simple Choice with 8 lines (I believe 3 or 4 free), would going up to 9 lines cause some kind of rate increase? I think I've read about that as a limitation?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a bit confused. Do I have the option to port in the number that I want associated with the free line? Or do I just a new line assigned to me and that's the free one?

Your lines will stay in the exact order they are now. For whatever reason, the discounts for the free lines go up (at least mine did).
So are you getting any additional savings or basically its same total as before?

My free line credits went up when I was switched to a 9-line plan. Between that and the additional Hookup on the free line, I'm saving an additional $31/month.

they first assign you a new number for the line then they transfer that new assigned line and convert it to a port in.

I went ahead and started a chat with Tmobile app. Started out great cause he said he's an expert. Aside from a $30 sim/etc fee. I'm being told that I can switch to Magenta Business with my 4 lines and get a 5th line then after 3 months (shh, it's between us) that I can reduce it to 4 lines. The math though is messed up, but basically $140 after it's done.

I kept insisting that that's the regular price (with autopay) for 4 lines, and after being educated on marketing prices and 3rd line being free, he pretty much said that there can only be one free line on the account... OK twitter also says that regular 3 lines with autopay is billed $140. So the rate on their website IS promotional? There isn't even any fine print. Always thought that 4 lines is $160 NOT just for new customers. Here on my account, "upgrading" to Magenta is $160!

Seems cheaper to just stay where I am if I'm intending to keep my monthly low $122 with needing only 4 lines... Adding the free line would cost ~$5 more a month, so not free...

That's interesting and you have the same plan as me - right? What was your SOC? So your SOC did not change after 9th line, it just resulted in additional savings? Did you combine it with any phone promos?

Ok great. Do I need to do that at the same time when I sign up for the free line? Or can the port wait until whenever?

The instructions for looking up SOC code don't work in either browser. Chrome hasn't had a "view" option on the menu in years. If you go to More Tools> Developer Tools, then select the Network tab and XHR subtab, filter for "subscriber," neither "rateplan," "planType," nor "socCode" are in the captured string. The same thing happens when I did it in Firefox. Has anybody else had any success?
I went to the home page then hit f12 "in Chrome" clicked network tab then clicked on XHR
below went to >Myline>Rate Plan. Soc code should be in there.

Anyone knows if this free line meets the "add a line" requirement for their device deals? If yes, do I need to buy the phone at the same time as opening the new line?
