*** UPDATE -- free AAL ends COB Thursday, 9/24! ***

It appears that another T-Mobile "Line On Us" for existing customers is coming this Friday. No word on the duration of the promo. Voice lines only.

It also allegedly stacks with the prior free lines. I'll update with any cheap/free phone deals that may be available...

Look up your SOC code (pasted from prior deal thread -- can't create a Wiki for some reason):

How do I look up my SOC code?
If you want to know what your SOC code is, login using a web browser so you are looking at your account. Be sure to enable "Web Console". (FireFox --> Menu --> Web Developer --> Web Console) Pop over to the Network tab and look for an XHR request to "Subscriber".
you'll see your SOC Code in the Response section. For example, here is the relevant section:

````
{
"ratePlan": {
"name": "Simple Choice North America 10GB Family Match Promo",
"planType": "SIMPLECHOICE",
"socCode": "10SFM2LN"
}
}
````

You need to be on the "home" URL when you enable the tools. I've attached a screenshot that shows (circles) all of the areas you should be at or click to ensure you can see the SOC Code. Sorry if this is too complicated - just trying to share info.

For your plan code view in Chrome:
View>Developer>JavaScript Console. Then tap Network tab then XHR tab.
Then go to the main T-Mobile account homepage (the magenta square with white T in the upper left…or refresh it if already there).
In the Java window, single-tap Subscriber (or type it in the Filter search tab if you can't find it, then single-tap Subscriber)
Tap Response tab (if not already selected). In that long string, you will find the plan and socCode.

I did today and it worked. I haven't got the sim yet for the free line added on 09/18. I got the sim shipped and a number assigned to the free line. Got an AT&T number to port from ebay and called 611 and it hardly took 5 mins to finish the porting and got the 3 text msg as well immediately.
Msg 1:
We've started transferring your number xxxxxx1659 to T-Mobile. We'll keep you updated or you can check status at t-mo.co/transfer22
Msg 2:
Mobile number xxxxxx3831 has been changed to xxxxxx1659. For details view the Account Events section on my.t-mobile.com
Msg 3:
Welcome to T-Mobile! Your number xxxxxx1659 has been successfully transferred. We'll be in touch soon with more welcome information, but feel free to check t-mo.co/transfer21 for updates.

Submitted the rebate and text msg
T-Mobile Message: Thank you for your submission to 2020 BYOD P1 Promotion. We will review your submission and verify your eligibility. General processing time is 6 – 8 weeks. To track status, go to t-mo.co/rebate using tracking ID xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
When did they ship the sim card? I hope i get it early next week. They ship it via USPS or UPS or fedex?

You have to port in the number by 10/1. Do you have to activate it by 10/1? For rebate submission you can submit within 30 days of activation...so latest by 10/31? Is this correct?

I currently have 3 phone lines for $120 (taxes included) plan.

I am qualified for the free line promotion. By adding the free line with this offer do I have to pay additional taxes? I heard that taxes included plans do not incur additional taxes.

Anyone can confirm?
Taxes are included. You won't incur additional taxes.

If any knowledgeable folks can help it would greatly be appreciated.

I contacted T-force to add 2 lines to my account for the 3rd line on us free promo ended on 9/17. The rep left before processing my order and told me his colleague will do so and honor all the promos at the time.
Next day, another rep came on and i explained what happened along with asking to get the additional free line being offered starting 9/18. Rep checked with leadership and assured that they got the ok to honor both free line promos. I was told that soon as my account have 4 active lines, it will be sent to someone (i assume upper management) to have both free line promos correctly added. So my account would be 2 paid + 2 free lines. I made sure this was the case with them multiple reps for several days before and after adding lines.
After I traded and got the iphone 11 pro max on eip on new lines, I found out that my plan only has 1 free line. I contacted Tforce and they said expired promo could not be added, that previous reps were misinformed.
I contacted customer service reps and they said they couldn't do anything.
btw, I do need the lines and the lines have people using them, not just there sleeping.
What should I do?

what had been the time line for the previous free line offers?
Tforce told me to cancel a line if I only need 3 (I need more than 3) or they will give me a free year of service (my eip is 24 months). Those are the solutions they are offering to me now.

Added free line on 09/18, sim shipped on same day thru UPS Mail Innovation. I am yet to get the sim, but a number is assigned when the account is activated.
Once you get an e-mail with subject " Your account has been activated: order xxxxxxxxx363", then call 611 and have the porting complete and submit the rebate.

Did you contact T-Mobile via phone, or use another method, when you spoke to the first 2 reps?

When exactly did these two new lines get activated? Both on the 18th? It's unclear to me if this 3rd line was activated prior to the 18th.

If T-Force cannot do anything, you can contact Executive Care by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. They have more power than T-Force and may be able to make things right. Free line promos usually only attach if the activation date is within the timeframe of the promo, but my guess is that they have some way to fudge it to work.

It is my understanding that newer plans such as One that have data in the plan should inherit this from the main account just as any other added line would. This might only be a concern with plans that by default don't have data, like older SC plans? Or will this not be applied?
Correct! It seems to only be an issue for those of us still on Simple Choice plans. My default data plan (2gb) did not appear as an option though.

Edit: to answer my own question, it looks like the new line is part of the One plan and has data. It does not have other add-ons such as kickback or OnePlus.

My SC lines have always been provisioned with data! Until the Free Line from June and they fixed that yesterday after I brought it to their attention.

Contacted via T-force on 9/17 and everyday since up until this morning. Everything they promised are saved on twitter dm. Talked to regular customer care yesterday and today.

All 3 new lines were activated on the 19th per T-force instruction. They said as long as I added 3 new lines to my account (to make it 4 lines in total) by the end of 9/19, they would honor the 2 promos together.

I guess i'll have to email executive care about this then. Getting so frustrated and stressful chatting/talking to reps now.

Thanks

Gotcha.

The good news is that you have it in writing. So at least that's a start. You likely will run into issues due to the activation date of the 3rd line (supposed to be free) being outside of the promotional window.

Executive Care has a lot of ability. I don't know how far that extends with free lines and getting them to stick on lines activated outside a promotional window. I have heard stories over the years of Exexutive Care putting free lines on plans that weren't actually eligible, so they can probably work something with you.

For the hassle, I'd also ask them to apply the Insider Hookup for you.

Just to make sure there's no miscommunication, though: what is the name of the credit on your account making one of your lines free?

Yes , I have simple choice also with 4g data and the free line I added last time and the free line I added 2 days ago both show 4g data also. Rep told me whatever you have on your other lines is what you get on the free line.

Any way of doing this tonight without having to make a call? Twitter/Facebook not replying and the ability to chat with them no longer appears in my app.

If you are a new customer see if you can get a hookup insider code and get the 20% discount for life. thread is on reddit. Available until end of September. You might have to use the hookup code first but if it is all fresh probably worth contacting CSR and see if it can be applied.
I did, thanks!

If your SOC is eligible (1st post) just add the line in the account on the web yourself.
Add a device or line > add a line > it won't show any discount > pay $10 for SIM card > Hit submit and trust the process > 24-48h later you will get text confirmation that the line has been added, then when shipping gets ready a number will be assigned, and then a confirmation text that you got the promo. Takes 5 min.

Now they said 9/24 close of business, not sure what time zone they count. I would do it before midnight your time zone and worst case you cancel and remove the line later if not applicable.
