Are we talking about the same A14? It was a very disappointing evolution from what I heard (even lost to snapdragon 865 in multi-core benchmark). I think you are about 2 years behind in terms of updating your preconceived notions.

This is the "correct" MSRP for an overpriced gadget. Deal prices should be lot lower... but if you really "want it" that doesn't apply.

Am I missing something? Why there seems to not so much love for this deal? It's 200 less than the B&H deal for a new phone only couple months old. I wanted the note 10+ 512gb for 800 but that deal was gone and this seems like a better deal given this is a 5g phone even i don't thing I have much use for that in near future.

This could be a PM given that its 512gb version. Even the MS store deal on S20 ultra was for 256gb version base.

It's a great price if you need it now. Personally I am waiting for the next generation flagship phones with snapdragon 875, which should finally put Android phones close to iphones in terms of cpu performance.
