Are we talking about the same A14? It was a very disappointing evolution from what I heard (even lost to snapdragon 865 in multi-core benchmark). I think you are about 2 years behind in terms of updating your preconceived notions.

Be weary of amazon listings, the listing says it only has 8gbs of ram... you just might receive thr exynos version, note 20 ultra doesnt Have an 8gb model in the US

Honestly the raw power, the ability to use it like a notepad, and the camera(even with that bump). Plus, Apple doesn't value your trade-ins while Samsung does. Apple is more "kid friendly" though as in they literally design their stuff so that even kids can use it(iPads for Kids is a real program). Samsung is more towards adults where it's more difficult to pick up but there are more options to mess with.

Though depending on what the iPhone 12 ends up being, point 1 and 3 might not come into play. The battery life on the iPhone 12 Pro Max is like 10% less though, not a huge deal but something to note.

Mostly comes down to what operating system you prefer. I personally can't stand Apple and all their restrictions, so I'm always going to prefer Android. Having said that, the Note specifically allows you to do a lot of things you could never do on an iPhone because of the Stylus and the apps build around it, then there's the Dox feature... really a lot of stuff. Watch a Note Ultra review to get an idea.
