These drives are exFAT formatted, which is both Windows and Mac compatible, older versions of Windows: XP and Server 2003 need update KB955704 to recognize exFAT.
- Download the software from this link [acronis.com] and install it.
- During install it will ask for your email address.
- Enter that and you will quickly get an email asking you to activate your account.
- Activate your account.
- On the Acronis website under your products [acronis.com] you should see an icon with "PC 1". Click on that to reveal your activation key.
- Copy the key and paste it into the Acronis app you have installed.
