Before people start comparing it with Ryzen based Laptops which offer superior Processing Power than any Intel U series Processors now, just want to add couple of points.
This is Acer's premium Business Laptops and mainly concentrates on Build quality, Security, durability. This is one of the cheapest laptops to have full Magnesium alloy construct which is durable and lighter than aluminum alloy based laptops.
It also has Windows Hello and Fingerprint Reader for Security, Thunderbolt 3 for adding a huge choice of accessories, User upgradable Memory, despite having very thin and light design, below 3 lbs.
Dedicated Graphics which is still on par or slightly better than BEGA Graphics in Ryzen 7 4800U.
The Display Quality is great, it's over 300 nits and covering entire sRGB color gamut.
The review links I have provided, has all these details.
Keep in mind that CPU is an 8th Gen Intel....Not 10th or even 9th.....
Would much rather this lack the weak mx250 GPU and trim off the price and give me more battery life.
This has a very poor battery life for a "Travel" laptop.

That deal is posted by me and I know what that is.
Now regarding your comment about generation; there is no 9th Gen Processor for U series, it is directly 8Th gen to 10th Gen. Now the Comet Lake 10th Gen Processors like i7-10510U are still 14 nm build and just uses a marginal clock increase and in same thermal and cooling solution, around 5% to 7% faster than Whiskey Lake Counterparts. the 10th Gen Ice Lake CPU which is based on 10 nm, having a slightly slower CPU but more powerful Graphics. Since this laptop has a dedicated Graphics card which is better than Iris Plus G7 and on par with VEGA 7 in 4700U or in 4750U.
Regarding build quality, this one is actually better with full metal and magnesium alloy build and having Thunderbolt 3 pot, something still missing in AMD laptops.

there is a 20-30 % difference in speed between 8th and 10th gen due to optimization... adding on top of that, Ryzen is 7nm and is 10-20% faster than 10th gen, overall a ryzen will be 30-40% faster than 8th gen mobile chip while uses much less power therefore give you more battery life.

Is that on paper? Or in real life? How and when would that extra speed come into play? Aside from games?
The bigger problem is nearly all the new lptops with the new Ryzen chips are in some way crap. Whether its 8gb RAM soldered or a screen with 250 nits. Never TB3 and so on. Of course the chip matters. But so does the screen. Pardon the rant-y tone but waiting another 6 months for a decent Ryzen based machine is too long. We were promised jetpacks.

I second these comments. Over the years I have bought well over a dozen laptops, and used company provided ones. Among windows machines Acer Travelmate I bought for my wife turned out to be the most robust and reliable due to magnesium alloy, although was a bit on the ugly side for her taste.
I stopped considering HPs about 10years ago, and my Lenovo Yoga Pro was the worst value for the money.
I have my own doubts about whether I can move down from 6MP display to FHD, otherwise I would have probably ordered before writing this

Why are you claiming invalid information? Can you show me a single benchmark where a Comet Lake i5-10510U which is the direct successor of i7-8565U, performing 20% to 30% better? You won't because you were just blabbering here. Do yourself a favor and check some benchmarks in Review sites like Notebookcheck.net. In fact there are cases, like in LG Gram series where the 8th Gen Whiskey Lake performs better than the newer 10th Gen Comet Lake Chips due to thermal design.
